Needy Paws Rescue, (www.needypaws.org), St. Louis, MO, was founded in April 2014 and is a 100% volunteer foster-based organization. We are devoted to saving animals whose lives are in danger at high kill animal shelters & animal controls, who are strays, who have been abandoned or were owner surrenders, regardless of their size or breed. We are a 501(c)3 non-profit rescue that could not exist without the generous donations of funds and items needed to support our dogs on a daily basis. We believe in spaying & neutering to decrease overpopulation and the importance of the monthly Heartworm Pill. We have found many dogs that are Heartworm Positive which require a painful 90-day treatment. Needy Paws Rescue has over 100 volunteers who rescue dogs in the St. Louis and surrounding areas and has adopted out over 700 dogs to loving families by mid-2015.
