Humane Harness
I bought this product about 20 years ago for my dog at the time and it lasted almost as long as he did, he was almost 19 years old when he passed. I bought one for my dog I have now and my Nephew likes it so much he asked me to get him one for his dog. It's a really good harness and I like that it doesn't choke your dog when he pulls or runs.

Looks weird, I love it, Mia loves it!
Thank you!! It does, it looks weird when you take it out of the package. Fortunately, the tags help you get it on right. And THEN, the 'Ah-ha!' moment. I'm a handler, I'm used to steering from the front. After shoulder surgery - my 70 lb rescue dog Mia was causing pain. But THIS little device - wish I had found it when I first adopted Mia. The 'step in' type harnesses chafe her, and she can lunge. She is heeling better! A few more weeks and she'll walk on leash like a champ!

Fantastic Harness!
Great Harness!!! I bought one years ago and am still using it! I bought 3 others for my dogs. The harness fits comfortably around my dogs and the adjustable size suits my dogs perfectly. Having tried many harnesses this harness is the only one that my wiggly dog couldn't get out of and its easy to take off and put on.

tI have more control with my pulling dog. It is also lightweight and non constricting. best I have used

So good we wore one out.
We have 2 Tibetian spaniels for which we purchased these harnesses. Tibbies as they are known are hard to fit but these worked beautifully. We didn't know how great they were until we literally wore them out after 15 years of daily use. We looked for replacements in pet stores but couldn't find them. We tried five different types none of which worked nor were the dogs comfortable in them. I searched the Internet for these and gratefully found them at dog. com. Eureka they are the same and our new Tibbies are smiling.

amazing
my 55lb. basset is a puller..never dreamed so simple a harness would turn him into a quiet, well-behaved doig

This product seems very comforable
I love this product. Our puppies walk very well . No pulling and fighting, like against their other halters and collars..I will order others when they outgrow these small ones.

My boyfriend has one like this for his pit bull and it's very easy to get on and off plus comfortable and works great on the dog. I've been looking for this online for a long time. I know my black lab with love it.

We have a pit mix that pulls. She is a different dog with this harness on. No pulling, much easier to handle. I highly recommend this product!

LISA T on Dec 15, 2017
I use these in training class to help owners get control of excited pulling pets.
Paeton on Dec 14, 2017
Owned one years age. Definitely the easiest to use and most comfortable for the dog.
kathleen m on Dec 3, 2017
This is a simple harness, and easily adjusts to fit over coat when it's cold. Even if Barkley chases a squirrel, and I have to give him a tug it's fine.
michelle w on Nov 12, 2017
You will not find a better, safer, more awesome harness than this! Have used them in the past and passed one along to my son for his Lab who, in turn, told his breeder about them and she now uses them for all her dogs too. They're just the best! The dog's more comfortable with no more pulling around his neck. It is so secure that even my son's black Labrador Retriever (who's a strong guy) can't pull out of it. Love them.
Peggy C on Oct 3, 2017
The best puppy harness I have ever used. Lightweight, easy to fit, not cumbersome for the puppy, doesn't swing or become lopsided, good control and adjusts as she grows.
Anne M on Sep 25, 2017
I adopted a bulldog mix who had not walked on a leash - she's 70 lbs, very strong and pulls. After she ran me down a hill w/o warning, every bit of connective tissue on ME hurts. I need a tool that allows control w/o depending on plastic fasteners. Mia does not respond with a training collar - she doesn't want to. This device fits over her center of gravity, to safely control her if she lunges, and protect ME from injury. We continue training, she is safe, I am safe.
Karen H on Sep 5, 2017
This harness is easy to put on and is also comfortable for the dogs. Also, the dog can not wriggle out of it.
Christine H on Jun 22, 2017
The Holt harness is the only kind we will use with our 3 large dogs. These harnesses make walking 280 lbs. of dogs a breeze.
Andrea l on Jun 4, 2017
I have used the one I have through 2 dogs. Both jack russell with lots of energy. Best I've ever used, durable, and comfortable for the dog. Pulling becomes minimal. Takes a little getting used to get it adjusted and put on the dog. Well worth it though. Have a pleasant walk.
Diane V on Apr 27, 2017
had them before and LOVE them.
michele r on Apr 25, 2017

the only harness that I would use on my dog
Michelle P on Dec 4, 2016
The only harness that has ever worked on my Boxer. Keeps him from pulling, quick to put on, and doesn't rub behind his legs.
Ericka K on Nov 6, 2016
my other dog has this leash and we like it
Valerie H on Oct 1, 2016
My Beagle/Hound dog likes to pull on the leash. hope this helps!
wendy b on Apr 18, 2016
Looks like it is effective and is a low price. Selected for animal rescue nonprofit to use with adoptable dogs.
Kathy B on Jan 22, 2016
Used it before. Works well and easy to adjust.
jennifer p on Dec 7, 2015
this harness is incredibly effective at reducing pulling. my stubborn dog will still pull but it is much more manageable-I don't feel like I will be pulled over. a simple increase in pressure from my end stops him. makes walks much more pleasant. need one for the new dog coming next week.
KAREN M on Nov 20, 2015
The reviews were good on this harness and since my Corgi mix pulls a bit, I'm going to give it a try.
Shari P on Oct 10, 2015
have used this harness in the past. works really well and lightweight. no dog chewing
Diane V on Jun 11, 2015
My dog loves to walk put he pulls and chokes himself so I thought I would try this so he could enjoy his walks more
BRENDA S on Feb 28, 2015
We have two of them we have worn out over 12 years. I love the control and the fit. No slipping and sliding around as happens with other harnesses.
sally c on Dec 10, 2014
If this stops my 95 and 65 pound dogs from pulling, I'll be very happy.
Mike L on Nov 11, 2014
It appears to be the best for my 2 Cocker Spaniels who always run run run with the harnesses on. I must only walk so I purchased these.
Gloria J on Oct 28, 2014
My dog pulls and chokes himself on collar leash. I thought I would try this to prevent him from choking.
BARBARA T on Oct 22, 2014
Very easy to put on the dog.
Gayle M on Sep 24, 2014
I have used this harness with all of my dogs and they are super durable. and you don't have to worry about them slipping out of a collar and if they run it won't hurt them. l will only use this type of harness - it is unobtrusive as well.
Laurie L on Sep 15, 2014
My pug is so strong that he pulled my mother down when walking him.
Marisa R on Sep 10, 2014
Because it's better than a collar for Boxers. It's recommended by trainers. It doesn't choke the dog or injure it's neck. We went to 2 petstores and no one carries this anymore! I wish you had an XLarge size.
Carol S on Jun 29, 2014
My dog has neck issues and this looked like a simple and light harness for walking. I didn't want anything too heavy and it appears perfect for those hot summer days of walking.
Donna M M on Apr 4, 2014

Mike L on Nov 11, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Hello, please see below for the sizes.

Neck: 8” – 14”
Girth: 14” – 20”

Medium:
Neck: 14” – 20”
Girth: 20” – 28”

How do you put it on the dog?
Mary Etta F on Sep 27, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The connection to your leash and the adjustable clip will always be on the top back of your pet. If you hold it like that, your harness shoul form two loops. The loops slip over your pets neck, large loop first, then small loop. Lift your pet’s front legs one st a time to get them by the large loop. You will get the hang of it and your pet will learn how to do it too. The small loop will be around your pet’s neck and the large loop around your pet’s torso when installed correctly.
Does this help with pulling?
A shopper on Jun 23, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Absolutely. I've been using these for over 20 years. Nothing beats it. Stay away from the nylon ones. Not even close to the leverage you get with this one
