My dog and I really like it!
This ramp is great. I like the sandpaper feel to the surface. It's very secure for the dog's feet, no matter the weather. Also, it's quite sturdy for my 80+ pound lab. It works well at the tailgate end as well as the side door.My dog is very food motivated, so it took less than 5 minutes for him to figure out that this a real fun game. The only slightly negative comment is that it's a little hard to store. I had to bungee it to whatever I could hook it on to in my car.

Great Product
My pomeranian recently went through her second bout of neck problems. A friend suggested I get a ramp for her to use to go down the 3 steps to get to her yard from the doorwall. She uses it to go down and sometimes to come back up. It's easy to sweep the snow off. I'm having my 4th surgery in less than 3 weeks and it's nice I don't have to pick her up to get her in bed with me.

Almost as Described
The Tri Fold Ramp is not to heavy (for a senior woman), folds and unfolds easily and seems to be secure in place. Like the feature of the"security" strap which attaches to the floor door latch of van or SUV.There is a finger indentation type of built-in handle and I can pick it up w/one hand. The surface is NOT topped by removable carpet, but bySandpaper, so the description was not totally accurate. You will need to practice w/your dog to get used to the feel and idea of going up and down the ramp. I practiced on our back steps inside of our fenced yard and with rewarding w/treats for any attempt at paws on ramp at first then working up to completely up and down. As the directions indicate, make sure all 4corners of ramp feel secure/supported on allsurfaces that you choose.

Great for joint problems and older dogs
One of my dogs (german Shepard) is older 11 yrs and is starting to show joint problems I purchased this for him and the younger one. I happened to have very large SUV, and my only challenge is that one they have never used a ramp, and even with the length it is still a little steep. So there is a training period in using this item. Maybe with a lower vehicle it would no be as steep. But they do get the hang if it.

Poorly made
This ramp has a "nail file" like surface...dogs do not like to walk on it..it scratches the hand of the owner trying to open it up and get it out.It does NOT have a handleIt does not have a strap to hang it somewhere...very disappointed with this product.

I have a large (100 lb+) dog who is 10+ years old? I also have two Xl large SUV, so this way he does not have to jump in or out of the SUV.
He is still very active playing ball and frizbee, and taking walks but everything helps. He is still very active, and I want him around for a long time.

We have an old lab who needs help getting into our SUV. Also, like the way you can store the pet ramp or pack it into the car for travel. Thanks

What is it made of? Aluminum or other

BEST ANSWER: a heavy molded type plastic, but just heavy enough to be sturdy w/out being too heavy to carry. Walking surface has a roughish texture so as not to be slippery. bought for our almost almost 12 yr old 60+ lb lab to use if needed.
