My German Shepherd loves this food. We have always fed him this brand since we brought him home.

MY DOGS LOVE IT!
My mature, somewhat sedate German Shepherd will eat anything, but she shows more enthusiasm for ALL of the Taste of the Wild kibbles (I alternate between the three types). More importantly, since I only use Taste of the Wild now, plus freshly cooked chicken, (and other things, too) her energy level has increased markedly. My little Corgi mix, who is the fussiest eater I've ever had, likes all three flavors, too, and I can see this smaller size kibble is easier for him to chew than the commercial brands I used to buy. He's one-third the size of the Shepherd and they both eat the same thing, so I no longer have to get two different brands to please them.

I like this dog food because the first item on ingredients is meat. This dog food doesnt take much to fill them up. Even though the price is high it is a good quality dog food. all our dogs like Taste of the Wild, Wetlands dog food. I would reccommend this dog food to anyone.

Quality ingredients, rotates well for varied diets
Taste of the Wild has quality meat proteins and works well for dogs on a rotating diet. My dogs think it's tasty, one of the dogs is a bit gassy on the Wild Wetlands variety but otherwise has no problems.

The Dogs Love It
My two dogs love this food! We have tried some of the Blue foods sold at Petsmart and my dogs prefer Taste of the Wild over them any day. The nuggets are small enough for our Pug and substantial enough for our Shepherd mix.

Great Choice!
I have an 8 yr old Boxer and a 2 yr old English Bulldog. They both suffer from allergies and my Boxer some digestion issues. Taste of the Wild has been a great choice for us. They love the taste and it has really helped with the allergy and digestion issues.

taste of the wild goes urban
My puppy enjoyed the wetlands flavor, but we didn't like the smell of his farts! they would clear the room. we have switched to the pacific flavor and he enjoys that as well. His farts have subsided and we have harmony at home now.

Dogs are thriving on this food
I began feeding my 2 dogs Taste of the Wild nearly a year ago, when they were about 12 weeks old. After trying all three blends I settled on the Pacific blend. Some flatulence problems were noted with the beef and poultry blends, but I think it had to do with the higher protein content vs. the salmon (32% vs. 25%).The dogs are doing well on this food: shiny coats and eyes, lots of energy, and they never turn up their noises, so I think they like the taste. I add warm water on occasion to make "gravy" and they bolt it down like they haven't been fed in days.I would recommend this food to anyone looking for very good quality at a decent price.

Some of the best dry food out today. Several flavors but wetlands seems to be the best. Not to much protein and it's grain free. Good stuff.

I have a 4 year old miniature dachshund (wire haired) named Dassi. She is very spunky, smart, alert, and an all around ham she is definitely a clown. I would like to feed her a little more food but I am always worried about her weight. My late dachshund Lacy (smooth haired) became over weight right after she was fixed. It was impossible to get her weight under control but she was more laid back then this new girl. I'm looking 4 with good nutritional value not high in carbohydrates and something I could feed her twice a day. I was thinking dry in the morning and wet at night would this be a good option?

BEST ANSWER: I cannot comment on what is going to be the best thing to feed your dog but I can tell you about this product. I am also going to list the guaranteed analysis for it as well below. This is a high protein food. In fact the first 4 ingredients are protein sources. It has 375 kcal/cup (Calculated Metabolizable Energy). If you are concerned about your dogs weight, and I can understand with dachshunds this can be a very real concern, I will always recommend speaking with your vet for a final say.
