My cat has a head cold because she keeps shaking her head and water would come out of her eyes and she is stuffing and has a little bit of a rattle, and I want to know if Lysine would help her get better?because I would get the treats with Lysine in them if it would help my cat?

BEST ANSWER: Any symptoms like this should be referred to a vet as colds can be fatal for kittens or older cats. Lysine wont make your cat better if it has an infection. My cat has feline Herpes and giving her Lysine on a regular basis minimizes the number of attacks that she gets, and their duration. It boosts her immune system, and she tolerates it well. She loves the chews and eats them readily. Once your cats condition is treated maybe giving her these will help boost her immune system too.
