Key Components:
Omega-3 fatty acids, such as DHA (Docosahexaenoic Acid) and EPA (Eicosapentaenoic Acid), help reduce inflammatory skin reactions in dogs. These two important fatty acids are found in high levels in fish oil. Only omega-3 fatty acids in fish oil have been shown to reduce inflammation.
Omega-6 fatty acids, including linoleic acid, help maintain the epidermal water barrier function of the skin. This may explain why instances of dry, dull hair coat and scaling, non-pruritic skin disorders in dogs generally respond to the addition of vegetable oils to the diet.
Vitamin A is a fat-soluble antioxidant needed for maintaining normal skin, preventing eye problems and enhancing immunity. A deficiency can cause skin lesions, including dryness and cracking of the skin.
Vitamin E is a fat-soluble antioxidant that protects cell membranes from oxidation by free radicals and promotes healthy skin and hair.

My dog has mild skin allergies and has been taking AllerG-3 for a couple years. (It also gets her compliments on her coat!) We moved and I can no longer get AllerG-3 from my vet. This has the same ingredients and is cheaper.

My dog has allergies and itchy skin so going to try this to help.
Carlie K on Mar 26, 2015
It seem s like a good value and I have one of my 4 M. Schnauzers with a lot of allergies and one of my 2 new puppies has severe dry skin, and was told to buy either krill oil or fish oil. So I decided to try this supplement. The 2 Pet stores here are out of fish oil and do not know when they will get some in and this item is cheaper through dog.com.
