unused item, so far
Wound uo with 2 sizes, the one I pd for 2 day shipping, came in 7 and the one I never bought, came in 2. So neither item has been used, and needs to be returned, Came too late for the trip I bought it for, and now too cold to install, and likely now unnecessary. I planned to use it to keep cargo area in back separate from the dogs, so I could unload in peace. The item appears to be a good item, though whether it will stand without a seat bracing it, as I wanted, was not able to be tested. I used the measurements in ad to determine the 4 bar was the one that fit my Honda CR-V, however, it really only keeps out dogs, if seat is there, so 6 bars is better, perhaps for this purpose. It telescopes, so it will probably fit the car, though I don't know that for sure.

Misleading Ad!!
Thought I was buying an actual dog barrier with two bars. The ad is so misleading I ended up receiving a single bar extension. Then they insist I pay for return shipping. DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY.

To keep my dog from climbing in the front seat when I'm trying to drive.

want dogs safely in middle of car and them out of cargo area when I need to unload crates etc for dog trials. Also, want cargo stuff to stay off my dogs.

Just got a new car and need to keep the beasties safe in the back seat, wasn't the right fit for my car and had to return since no longer make the extension.

would this stay put if not putting it where it backs up to seats? I need it to free stand, keeping my dogs between front seat and back most cargo. Do dog trials and dogs jump on stuff as I unload, making it hard.

BEST ANSWER: I do use it freestanding. I put cargo in the back and dog in the middle with middle seats removed. I got it so cargo would not shift and I could stack it up without worrying about it falling on him. As long as you really tighten it and check it periodically it did fine. We had it loosen after a long trip and the top fell forward. I think it was just the movement of the car that did it, next time we will check it more often!
Do you sell the extension for this? Model 12. I bought the 4 bar thinking it was big enough and it's not, was hoping to get the extension for it
Jennifer L on Nov 18, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Hello, there is an extension that is available, at this time, we do not offer it.
