Quality at a Great Price
Sturdy crate, easily attached to exercise pen of same brand. Love the divider panel, have had zero accidents in crate as it gives my puppy just enough room to stand up and turn around. I leave the door open during the day and Mudbug can rest there when he chooses (if he's not napping on my lap).I did have to call the company at the provided customer service # for assembly walk-thru, as I did not recognize the release mechanism from the included instructions. Once I released the clamp holding the panels of the crate flat, it was simple to set up, no tools needed, but it did require superhuman effort on my part to "snap" the panels into place, as I am a nearly 60 year old woman with arthritis and poor muscle tone. For anyone else it should be much easier.I would advise getting the crate cover, as well, which is lightweight material, easy to adjust, makes a nice "den" out of the crate, which enticed my puppy to go in and sleep immediately, with no crate training needed.

Excellent Crate for the Price!
This crate really surprised me. I was worried about the quality because of how affordable it was. It was delivered very quickly and when we got it put together we were very happy with the quality. Love this crate and glad we ordered it.

Need new crate
Need a new crate for dog. All others that I looked at from pet stores and online were almost $100. This one was the same one, same quality, and much lower in price. Love It. It also shipped within a week. Awesome.

Great crate
We needed a new crate for our growing puppy. We didn't want to shell out close to $100 for a crate available at the big box store. So, my wife's co-worker mentioned Dog.com. This is essentially the same crate that the big box store had for about half the cost. The crate has two doors and they are double-latched. Compared to the other crate, it is easier to use and less likely that our smart pooch will figure out how to get out - he got out of the other one once. You can fold it up and set it up in about 5 minutes. Just watch your fingers when pull up the front and back panels - I got pinched a few times. It is has a solid frame and an all-around great crate.

Great price for a quality crate.
I was very pleased when I received my crate. It took only a minute to assemble (as it is collapsable). It is sturdy and a good quality. The price was unbeatable. I got a large for my 55lb Rhodesian Ridgelessback puppy and it is a good size for him

Easy to assemble
I just received this kennel and it is easy to assemble and seems durable. My dog got right in and it was roomy and I like the two door option. We currently have a plastic kennel and have to unscrew it every time I want to travel so I was looking for something that would take up less room in the car and didn't require a lot of time to assmeble. It is perfect for our travels, as it collapses down and has handles.

Flexibilty
This crate is very well made. The double doors afford additional flexibility for use in our RV, as well as at home.
July 26, 2015
heavy duty crate
this replaced a light gauge crate.i prefer the 2 slide bar closures over the 4 lift up brackets.Double doors give option as to how to place it in the room

i use all midwest crates for my dogs....at home and traveling in car, and also at dog shows.!!

I have used Midwest for many years. The crates are built sturdy. I really like the double because sometimes in my travels I need to position the crate in such a way that the door on the side makes it convenient to do so.

My aunt swears by dog.com and also swears by the life stages crates so I decided to try it out! DEFINITELY not disappointed. I have an aussie and got the Large Crate and it is PERFECT. I love that there is a double door option as well and our pup has plenty of room to move around.

Have used Midwest Life Stages crates for over a decade. they provide flexibility and value while puppy grows to adult. the 2 door models are our favoriate as we can put them in many more places than a single door crate.

What are the dimensions of the intermediate crate?
A shopper on Jul 9, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Dimensions: 37.375” L x 25.5” W x 26.375” H
Where is this crate made?
Judy P on Feb 26, 2014
BEST ANSWER: The crate is made in China. It is the best quality crate I have found for the $. Very pleased.
does this Midwest crate have a raised floor option? How much does that cost?
SWB on Jul 24, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The floor is actually the tray which can slide out totally for cleaning. The floor (tray) can raise up but there is nothing to prop it up on. As an owner of this I would say the answer is no.
I am looking for a crate for a golden doodle puppy 10 weeks old and approx. 12 lbs. what size crate? I have a large crate but it is too big now and there is no panel to make it smaller.?
Peggy W on Mar 8, 2017
BEST ANSWER: My dog weighs 11 lbs and the crate is fine for him. However, if your pup is going to grow at all, the crate will be too small quickly. You might be able to purchase a divider for your larger crate. This brand of crate is very good quality, sturdy, no sharp edges, plastic tray (again, no sharp edges), and the double door feature is nice.
How high (tall) is the step over opening in the Medwest Life Stages Double Dog Crate for the med., intermediate, and large crates? I am looking for a crate for a Dachshund who has a broke back and doesn't need a high step over to get in the crate.
Michael S on Jul 8, 2016
BEST ANSWER: On a 36 inch crate the edge for the door is about 3 inches high. On a 42 ithe is slightly higher. You could do a slight ramp in on both sides.
How do I collapse the crate?
A shopper on Apr 5, 2017
BEST ANSWER: First thing to do is remove the plastic liner. Then you unhook the two hooks at each end of the top. At this point the crate will "collapse" by pulling the ends outward.
Will this fit on lifestage crate # 1636DD?
Candace E on Mar 9, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Well, s it available or NOT? Were you just trying to get rid of overstocked large sizes???
what size crate is recommended for small breed dogs?
A shopper on Jun 4, 2016
BEST ANSWER: My kids have a Yorkie/Maltese mix and a Maltese. Both fit well in the smaller crate. You do not want a huge crate. Dogs like a safe "den" in the wild. Cover the crate while training so only the access point is open, and show them it is a safe place to rest. My Yorkie/Whip-it mix uses a medium crate and fits well. (She towers over the other two ;-) In any event, you must show them it is a safe place to rest and they will go in of their own accord... Enjoy.
Does the side door swing in and out?
Michelle W on Mar 23, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Both the front door and the side door swing out. Also, I have found the divider works best when using the front door.
My dog is 15" tall and 20" long from top of nose to base of tail. Is the small crate too small?
Sarita P on Dec 31, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Length: Measure the length of your dog from nose to tail. When measuring the tail, be sure to add approximately 2-4 inches to the overall length, depending on the size of your dog. Height: To determine the height of the crate you will need, measure your dog from the top of the head to the ground.
Can you give me the width of this crate?
Donna H on Oct 25, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The dimensions of the medium are:
Dimensions: 31 3/8"L x 22½"W x 23½"H
What size is good for a cardigan Welsh corgi puppy?
Endi N on Mar 26, 2016
BEST ANSWER: It depends. Are you planning on crating him as an adult dog as well? If so, you may want to get a carrier that is big enough for him as an adult dog with a panel for him as a pup.
Do you still pay shipping on this item even with free shipping promo?
A shopper on Feb 4, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The free shipping promo is for orders up to 15 lb. If the item is over it will at a small fee of $.30 per lb.
will the x-large crate hold a 110 to 120 Newfoundland?
