Legend Hyaluronate Sodium Injection

Injectable hyaluronate is used in the treatment of synovitis (inflammation of the lining of the joint capsule) not associated with infections.
Dose and Administration
Injectable hyaluronate should only be administered by a veterinarian. The various commercial products have different dosing information, so follow the manufacturer’s directions. This medication should only be given to the horse for whom it was prescribed.
Possible Side Effects
May see local reactions including increased warmth or swelling at the site of application. Consult your veterinarian if you notice any of these side effect s. These effects usually disappear in 24 - 96 hours. If your horse experiences an allergic reaction to the medication, signs may include facial swelling, hives, scratching, sudden onset of diarrhea, shock, seizures, pale gums, cold limbs, or coma. If you observe any of these signs, contact your veterinarian immediately.]
Not for use in horses hypersensitive (allergic) to any of the components of an injectable hyaluronate product. Do not use in joints where the skin has been recently fired or blistered, or has had counterirritants applied. The safety of injectable hyaluronate in breeding animals has not been determined. Most manufacturers caution against its use in breeding animals. Consult with your veterinarian regarding the physical examination ns and laboratory testing necessary prior to and during treatment with injectable hyaluronate. Radiographic examinations (x - rays) should be used to determine if fractures are present prior to treatment.
Drug, Food, and Test Interactions Notify your veterinarian of any other medications, including vitamins and supplements, your horse is taking while receiving hyaluronate injections  No drug or food interactions have been identified, though the risk of side effects may increase if used with other medications.
Withdrawal Times
Consult your veterinarian and event officials before using injectable hyaluronate or any other medication in a performance horse. Not for use in horses intended for food.
Signs of Toxicity/Overdose
No effects of an overdose have been Identified.
Do not store above 40 degrees C (104 degrees F).
