Product Summary:

Cosequin® Joint Health Supplement for Cats

As cats age, it is common for their joints to become less flexible, which impacts their mobility and quality of life. They may be less eager to jump to their favorite spots; while they used to prowl and chase “prey”, now they are content to rest. Cosequin is a patented, scientifically researched nutritional supplement that contains TRH122® low molecular weight chondroitin sulfate, FCHG49® glucosamine hydrochloride, and manganese ascorbate. These ingredients have been scientifically formulated to support and maintain the health of your cat's joints, and published clinical studies have shown that they work together to maintain the structure of the cartilage in the joints while inhibiting the enzymes that break down cartilage.

These supplement capsules help support and maintain the health of cats’ joints and connective tissue. They effectively help provide joint and cartilage support, while maintaining your cat’s comfort level and mobility. Also, your cat will love the natural chicken and tuna flavor!

This product is in a capsule to ensure an accurate amount is administered to your cat. The capsule may be "pilled" if more convenient. Once desired response is obtained, capsules may be administered every other day to maintain your cat. Number of capsules administered may be increased at any time depending on your cat's needs.
If your cat eats dry food, the food may be moistened with a small amount of water so that the powder sticks. Alternatively, the contents of the capsules may be mixed with a small amount (i.e., tablespoon) of wet or moist food to ensure your cat eats the entire amount.

Accidents gone
I highly recommend this product for cats. I had a cat that had some irritation and wanted to avoid the litter box. It was related to a bladder inflammation issue and the cosequin has removed the inflammation and no more urine accidents. Who would have ever thought it. I am super happy and so is she.

Good experience - cat & small dog
CATS: Highly recommend "pilling" for cats. My cat ate dry food, didn't like me to wet it for capsule contents to stick, couldn't be sure she was getting enough by sprinkling on dry food. She tolerated taking pills quite well, took many a day for many years. I do believe Cosequin helped w/ her mobility. She started taking many, many years before her arthritis in legs & hips got really bad. SMALL DOGS: 2 vets (current vet, longtime vet before I moved) both said I could give my 9 lb poodle this Cosequin version. (b/c of her size, same/similar ingredients). I mix contents of 1 capsule in a.m. w/small amount of wet food, then mix in her dry food, she eats it all! One of her kneecaps slips in & out of place. She's been "on" Cosequin for 3+ yrs., I do think it's helped her knee. It's improved to point that vet & I postponed her knee surgery another year!

Not quite there yet
The capsules open easily to dump the product into the food; however, the elderly (she's 20 this summer) cat that I got this for is not yet convinced that it's really a good thing to eat. As long as there are no other options, she's willing to eat; but I think that's mostly because she adores canned cat food.

My cat was having accidents and peeing places and never had done that before Vet diagnosed with some kind of cystitis and recommended this product. Haven't had 1 accident since she started on this and her personality is better. Helps bladder inflammation - love nutramax products.
