I changed to Blue Buffalo for my dogs because I heard the food was better. They seem to like it. I think a change it good and I really like the auto ship program. It makes it easy for me. With four dogs, I don't need to worry about remembering to get their food.

what size is the kibble?
adele v on Dec 10, 2014
BEST ANSWER: This brand has small kibble bites, triangular in shape, (I dont really have anything to compare it to) and the life source bits are small balls not as big as a pencil eraser. I dont know what type of dog you have so I would not want to say they are ok for any size. I could not attach a picture but search Google for: picture of kibble for blue buffalo wilderness dog food.
My dogs are scratching for no reason. Food is Blue puppy chicken and brown rice ?

BEST ANSWER: We used Blue Wilderness (Chicken) for our large breed dogs for a few years with no issues, then our Golden Retriever started having horrible "licking fits" that started 1-2 hours after meals. The vet had never heard of this, so my husband started researching. He found that the licking was due to upset stomach, he also found that Blue Wilderness had recently switched to a supplier in China. We researched more and switched to Merrick (grown & processed in Texas). No more licking fits. With Merrick, you do need to find a store that replaces the stock regularly to be sure to get fresh bags. I don't know if the food is causing your pup's itching but that is our experience with Blue Wilderness. The Merrick is in the same price range.
