I knew these toys were made tough when I ordered the small octopuss, but wow - "Oscar" has outlasted many of my Corgi's other toys by a long shot. So, I would definitely recommend these "tough" toys to anyone who appreciates a toy that lasts even when treated badly. Lulu loves to play pull with most of her toys, and this one is no exception; thankfully, Oscar takes it all in stride!

I bought two tuffies toys for our 7 mo. old Golden Retriever pup. I only gave him one to start, and luckily kept him supervised as he has been a terror with just about every toy but Nyla bones and Kongs. He devoured the Tug-O-War in about 20 minutes, ripping through the outer nylon area with his front teeth. All it took was him holding on to the tug with his paws and he was able to grab the black nylon trim and began shredding it. These toys arent going to work for a destructive chewer.

Love Tuffies. It is very important to pay attention to the Tuffness Rating. We got our Boxer a set of three toys rated a 6, he ate one of the in one day. We returned them and got him the Tug-O-Way rated 9 and he has been working on it for a bout a year now. It is still in pretty good shape. He has been able to remove a couple of the squeakers, but not completely destroy the toy.

I love these toys, however, my 9 pound dachsund had the squeaker out of the octapus in less than 30 minutes. She worked hard at it, but she got it out, she does not like the squeakers and she can take apart anything to get to the squeakers. I bought this toy for my Red Healer about 50 lbs. and he loves to play catch and he doesnt chew up toys like my dachsie does. So, it says they are so tough, but my dog out lasted the toy. To me, not worth the money if my dog can chew it up in less than an hour. They are cute and will be good for dogs that chew up their toys.
