Size Recommendations:

Each clip size corresponds with the different sizes of your pet. However, there are certain factors to consider when making your decision.

1.) Size of Your Pet

Do you have a small animal? If so, you may want to choose the Small Rubit! Clip as opposed to the Medium. The height of your animal may help determine his or her comfort level with the clip.

2.) Size of the Collar

Each size clip is also designed to fit on specific collar sizes. While the Small, Medium, and Large Rubit! Clips will fit on any size D-ring, you may find that the Small Rubit! Clip is hard to get off a larger size D-ring. This is simply due to the diameter of the clip. Using the Small Rubit! Clip on a larger size D-ring will leave less space for the clip gate to open.

3.) Personal Considerations

While each of the sizes is easy to use, some may find using the gate on the Small Rubit! Clip is harder because it smaller. If you have concerns due to joint pain or diminished motor skills, we would recommend using the Medium or Large Rubit! Clips

Sounds promising. No more broken nails trying to move tags to new collars.

Used to attach bear bell and id tag to collar. The clip allows the removal of the bell when not needed. The mechanical wear on the clip is nominal.

I've bought a similar clip from another source, but it made the tags hang so low that they annoyed my dog. Any thoughts about this?
Katrina Garner K on Apr 8, 2014
Best Answer: Hi Katrina,

The tag did not hang so low that it annoyed my puppy. She is now almost 9 months old, medium size, mix breed. She is very active and did get it caught on "something." Luckily, I noticed fairly soon after it happened, and was able to get her special name tag off before she lost it. I did buy several Rubit clips for all her different tags. It has not happened again as she is much less inquisitive and rambunctious. I hope this was helpful. I bet if your dog is on the smaller size, it will still hang too low, but the ease of changing tags can't be beat!

I have a really weird question. I have horses and I like to but I.D Tags on their halters. I was wondering if these would work for that? I haven't really found a split ring that doesn't warp. It just doesn't look good and I might loose their tags. Do think the Rubit would work for that?
Reggie on Oct 19, 2015
Best Answer: I have had them on my dog's collar for almost 2 years with no problems they have held up really well. I also work with horses. I can't say how they would hold up in the outdoors. The spring is pretty strong though so I think they just might work. The ring on my dog's collar is pretty large about the same size as the rings on hatters.

I need to have a clip that holds our Labrador's dog license, home again tag, a thin name tag and a St. Francis medal. Will one of these be able to have all of these tags on one Rubit?
Joanie B. on Apr 26, 2014
Best Answer: Yes, it will. Basically, it is a device that allows you to change out collars much easier because you can just unclip the tags from the collar and clip them all on another new collar in 1 second. Very useful if you have fingernails you don't want damaged trying to remove all those tags from the old collar and put them back onto the new one. It is also very cute!
