Medium size fits pets 18 to 50 lbs with a girth of 26in - 32in. Backpack length is 11in
Large size fits pets 50 to 79 lbs with a girth of 30in - 40in. Backpack length is 13in
X-Large size fits pets over 80 lbs with a girth of 36in - 48in. Backpack length is 15in.

I have a 4 year old Boxer who is a ball of energy. With that said the moment I put the back pack on he was a different dog. He was calm and walked like a perfect gentlemen. I have recommended this back pack to everyone I know. The sizing is a bit off I got a large on for my 80lb dog, it fits but has to be adjusted to the smallest possible.

I would definitely recommend this backpack for those looking for an inexpensive pack for every day use. We load it up with cans, water bottles and our Swissy wears it on walks every day. Its easy to put on an take off and has held up extremely well over the 6 months we've been using it. I can't attest to its sturdiness for hiking, backpacking trips, but for every day use its great, and our dog likes to wear it!

Ive used this on my 70lb bundle of energy for over 2 years with no problems. He goes from being a jumping, barking lunatic to a calm, happy dog when I put this on him. His head and tail go up and he looks so proud and serious. I weight the pockets to give him a better work out and drain the hyper energy. I love the pockets--great for bags, water, etc.

This packpack is well-made and reasonably well-designed for the price, however, the sizing runs VERY large. Ideally, a backpack for a dog who is not in excellent shape or with a very strong build should not extend past the end of the rib cage- all of these packs do if theyre on the dogs of the sizes theyre supposedly made for, assuming the dog is at a normal non-fat weight.
