I just bought this product and it was advertised as "virtually indestructible." Within an hour, my medium-sized dog ripped right through it. Definitely don't recommend this product if your dog loves to chew - VERY DESTRUCTIBLE!!

I got thus for my lab mix over a year ago and he absolutely loves it. Since he can't have the everlasting treats too often (loose stool) I'll usally fill it with a combination of soft treats and kibble which holds his attention wonderfully. I recommend this product to anyone who has hardcore chewers. In over a year there isn't a single puncture or scratch. Though it can be difficult to replace the everlasting treats, it helps to have very strong hands or use a butter knife to manuver the silicon.

when i ordered this toy, i thought it would be great! i ordered extra treats in different flavors, assuming with them it would be weeks or a couple months before i would have to order more. However, with in 3 minutes my dog (a german shepard/boxer mix) and on treats popped out, so when i took that treats away she left the other one in. thinkin problem avoided, i let her start playing with it again, with in 15 minutes she had the other treat almost completely eaten. She loved it but not as long lasting as i had hoped.

We have to Great Pyrenese. One five years and a one year old at over 90 lbs. We purchased a LARGE ball and extra treats. Our Moose has not popped the treats out and two treats, one insterted on each side lasts about a week and a half. The ball has no wear spots. Although he eats the treats quickly he will continue to play with the ball. The older dog primarily licks the treats and chewing has never been an issue with her, but she enjoys the flavor. I would suggest this toy again and again.

This is the ONLY toy my power chewing clumbers cannot destroy. Stopped buying the treats because they're very expensive cookies, but they love the toys empty or filled with my own treats.
We've destroyed Kongs, Nylabones, and natural bones - even 'pit bull and tiger tested' toys but these Starmark toys are the only ones I'll buy any more. Indestructible and go thru the dishwasher nicely. Wish they made even more of a variety!

My yorkie mix puppy was about 6 months old when we tried this toy. The first treat took him 4 hours to lick and bite and finally eat. I thought we'd finally found the perfect treat toy... until he got his second treat a week later. He figured out how to take the treat out and wouldn't be caught to get it away from him. He ate the whole thing and then his stomach bloated and he started throwing up yeast. These treats contain a ton of Brewers' Yeast which is horrible for dogs and can cause stomache issues and frothy vomit. The blue ball only has minor tears in it from his teeth but he won't be getting any more of these treats.

The toy has treats that fill in the spaces on the outside, the treats are so easy to get to and eat that the dogs took no time to finish it and it did not live up to the name everlasting. BUT... I have found that if I put treats that are disk shape in the inner section and give it to the dogs they are able to chew and take some time before getting the treat out, changing my opinion of the toy but not the treats that come with it.

I love these things for my toy poodles. The ball keeps them busy for at least 30 minutes and by that time they are tired and ready for a nap! The still have some left for later too.
Gives me a little time to get some things done. I must admit they are a little pricey if you have a large dog that can chew them up too fast.

My dog figured out how to pop them right out after about 2 minutes. I thought he got lucky but put it back in and 2 minutes later, it was out again. It was so easy for him to do this too. I would stick with the brands that have actually tested the product like Kong or Nylabone. Don't buy this until they figure out how to lock the treat in place.

My 70 lb. pit bull had no trouble getting the treat out, but he's not managed to completely destroy the rubbery toy yet. (Admittedly, he's chewed parts off, but it's still basically in tact.) We purchased this about a year ago. When I saw that he got some bits off, I purchased another, and it seemed to get chewed up faster than the first. Maybe the quality of the toys has declined (I noticed a different company name on the second one), or maybe my boy's just got his 'killing technique' perfected, I don't know. We've yet to find a toy that he cannot destroy (including giant black Kongs), but this one has at least taken him a while.

I have to say my lab loves these treats but it only took him a few seconds to figure out how to pop them out. He can eat one within a few minutes which certainly does not make the name accurate of being everlasting! And they are way too expensive to be chowed down in 5 minutes. The toy itself is fairly durable but once he pops the treat out he has no interest in the toy.

My Beagle sat and was entertained by this toy for one whole day. By the end of the day his teeth ripped through the side of the toy!! He isn't even a rough chewer since the treat was still in the ball and he had mostly been licking at it. I am very disappointed and will never trust anything saying it is "Virtually Indestructible"

I'm constantly in search of a toy that my APBT will not destroy within seconds. Unfortunately, this toy also did not pass b/c it only took my dog about 5 minutes to figure out how to pop out the treat of the toy. The toy itself does seems like it is fairly durable. If only there was a way for the treat not to be popped out so easily, I would have kept it. As it was, I had to return the toy b/c once the treat was out and digested, she started to get to work on destroying the remainder of the toy. :(

I brought one of these everlasting treat ball, hoping it would keep my german shepherd busy long after I'm gone for the day. At the first sight of this toy, my dog would look at it with his curious eyes and nose. But after that, he wasn't interested in it or the treats. And I did stuff the treat ball with all the favors that everlasting treats have, plus other treats as well, but nothing worked. For days, it would stay without him touching any part of it. I was disappointed. He always loved playing with balls due to his high ball drive. However, this ball wasn't appealing to him. Now, I'm back to say that I wouldn't recommend this treat ball to anyone.

The balls are quite durable. My Boston Terrier can get the treats out very quickly and then always gets sick, so I've quit buying refills and adding other treats to the inside of the ball. Definitely durable, be cautious if you have a dog with digestive issues or food sensitivities.

My dog destroys toys of all kinds and this was no exception. He is an american bulldog mix, about 55 lbs. Ive been working more and needed a toy that could keep him occupied and last for more than 5 minutes. Unfortunately this toy was not it. The treats kept popping out and the punture resistant ball is not what it claims. He had big chunks torn off the blue ball within 10 minutes and ate a whole "evelasting" treat within half that time. The only toy that has lasted is his Kong so I took the other treat and shoved it inside his Kong. He is still working on it! Save your money on the ball if you have a determined chewer. I'll be buying the treats so he can lick all he wants to try to get it out of his Kong, other than that I'm out $25 on the ball.

My bulldog can chew through anything. This however is one toy that keeps him occupied for hours. He can pop the treats out of it in no time flat, but after the first time he didn't care if there were treats in it or not. He is very picky when it comes to toys but each one of this series he thoroughly enjoys. Price is high but it is definately bullie proof.

The treat ball really is hard for our dog to chew up, in fact she can't chew it up at all. I would have to say, the fact that it can't be chewed up, makes the price over time, quite cheap. I think the treat inserts are ok, but they are almost all gluten and are made in China. I don't like to feed my dog anything made in China. However, the ball can be stuffed with any kind of treat. You don't have to buy only the treats the fit onto the ends of the ball, that is the real clincher for me.

The inserts are useless, but my can-chew-anything-to-shreds-in -minutes dog wasn't able to start knocking off rubbery chunks of this one for 3 months! A new record! Anyway, I stuff it with hard dog bones that are just the right size to wedge and pack tightly into the middle part. It's funny to watch him pick it up and bounce it on the floor (hard) to try to dislodge the treats--then he'll do his darnedest to cram his nose into it, lick it, nibble with his incisors and on and on. Then he's exhausted from the effort. After a couple of hours, he has put enough slobber on the treats to soften them to where they start falling out. But then he just brings it back to me for a refill.

I have 2 mini doxies that love the Everlasting toys! They go through the Everlasting treats in about an hour. I put their other treats, such as jerky and small snacks, inside them also. They love that also! The fireplugs take them longer than the balls. I give them the balls with jerky inside them everytime I leave the house. Now they enjoy when I leave.

I have an agressive chewing German Shepherd. He chewed through the Shepherd rated black kong in less than an hour. On recommendation, I purchased the Everlasting Treat ball. It is very durable. We've had it over a year, and it doesn't show much wear. It's great for kibble in the center (slows your fast eaters down), or the Everlasting domed treats. My dog also figured out how to get the treats out, but to make them last longer, wet the edges of the treats before inserting them in the ball, then let the product dry. If my dog gets the treat out too quickly, I give him a congradulatory treat and put the dome treat back in the ball to dry, as a special treat for later.

Jack, our australian shepherd and hardcore chewer destroys all toys, except for 8 and up rated Tuffies (Bone and Ring shapes). Though he got the treat out and ate it after a couple of days, the ball is still intact. I'll get the green one, per the other reviewer, in the near future. Treats are pricey to replace often. I purchased this toy for my lab puppy who at the time was 9 months old. He is only 10 months old and has destroyed everything I have ever purchased for him including the Kong toys. He love this toy and so far has not (perhaps cannot) destroy it. The only downside is the "everlasting" chewables do not last long at all and the price on the refills are very high. However, at $4.99 for a 2 pack on dog.com it is more affordable than $8.99 for a 2 pack at the "leading" retail store. I have since purchased a small toy for my smaller dog and she loves it, too. This should be the last toy you will ever have to purchase for your dog.

We purchased this toy in an effort to find something that can last more than a week against our Pit Bull rescue. This is it! We purchased the largest one available and it has endured 3 Rotties and a Pit Bull in great shape. They even play with it when there are no treats in it. Ours is very difficult to get the treats into so maybe the other reviewers are buying the wrong sizes, but we love it! Our female Rott can eat an entire rawhide roll in about 30 mins. This toy with two treats in it will last her 2 days. We have probably had it close to a year now.

I bought this toy because the vendor at a dog show said it was indestructible, and if you're dog managed to chew pieces off, they'd send you a new toy. So, I bought it for my english cocker puppy. It was fine when he was 3 mos old, but before he was 6 mos old, he chewed it to shreds. I contacted the company, and they sent me two replacement balls (the lime green ones). Those are more heavy duty, and so far, he's not managed to chew it apart. For my more calm, 2 yr old, english cocker, this toy was perfect and I had nary an issue.

I raise service dogs and currently have 2 Golden Retrievers (one adult and one pup) who are very heavy, destructive chewers - and after 6 months, their Crown Everlasting Treat Ball is as good as new (minus the dog hair!). I am not exaggerating when I say that EVERY other "tough" toy we purchased didn't stand a chance in our home. They were destroyed in a matter of days or even hours. Therefore, Everlasting toys are the only brand I will now buy. No other can compare. The only downside would be the treat inserts. The dogs removed that in seconds and ate it alone. Therefore, for some extra fun, I like to put small treats inside (Charlie Bear treats for example) and watch the girls work for their cookies. It's great sensory for them, very entertaining for us, and overall, a great game for the dogs. I cannot recommend this product highly enough.

We have mastiffs. The only things that survive past one day are the Everlasting brand of toys, Orbee balls, Jolly Balls and Critters.
Nylabone Gallileo turn into shards.
They won't play with rubber that is too hard (like the Black Kongs).
I've tried ALL the "canvas" and "firehose" types and they were no better than regular cloth.
I even purchased a handmade toy at a dog show that was tested on Rottweillers ... and returned in shreds the next day.

I looked at this item several times before I decided to buy it for my dog. I am disappointed, as it was not worth the money. Even if I put the treats in upside down, my dog can still remove them in a couple of minutes, and eats them in about 10 minutes. She seems to like the treats ok, but she will eat pretty much anything. Also, the rubber seems flimsy, so if your dog is destructive, I doubt it would last long.

I too was told by both my trainer and by my sister-in-law to get this toy for my 16lb beagle who destroys everything. I was assured she would not be able to destroy it but she seems to be the exception to the rule. The first one she got she was able to chew off the rubber within 30 min. Thinking this was a fluke the trainer gave me an additional ball and I tested it again. This time it took her a little longer but she eventually began to break through the rubber. Thankfully she doesn't swallow the pieces.
Despite my little chewer, I think this is still a great toy but make sure to always supervise your pets while they are using it. My pup still loves getting to the treat and doesn't let the rubber bother her but I can't continue to buy her more and more of these toys if she will just continue to destroy them.
I've also hear the everlasting fun ball is a great option and will be ordering one of those.

My Chessies love these treats but one of them had the first treat out in about 10 min. The other one only chews them until they are flush with the ball then starts chewing the ball itself. My dogs are VERY aggressive chewers, and they usually burn through toys in a matter of hoursor minutes so it is nice to only have to replace the refill vs. replacing the whole toy.

I have a 9 month old Airedale, who has become a very aggressive chewer. He can destroy a tuff tennis ball now in 10 minutes. However, he has had a black kong for several months and it is still perfectly in take. With that in mind, he loves his everlasting treat ball, which he got 3 days ago. He has been at work in my office with me for the past 3 days, and he has been working on the first set of treats in this toy for 3 days straight, 6-8 hours a day, and he is going at it again this morning. However, after about 5 hours on it the first day, he starting biting off pieces of the actual ball and leaving them on the floor. It looks like by the time he gets through 2 everlasting treats in the ball, the ball will be destroyed. Its not terrible for us to have spent $15 on something that has kept our guy busy for so many hours, but it sure would be a lot nicer if the ball were made of a more durable substance like the black kongs are.

I have to say that my dog LOVES this toy, but unfortunately it does not keep him busy for long. He can get the treat balls out in less than 5 minutes now, so the purpose is sort of defeated. Its expensive to keep buying refills, not to mention, the treats made my dog somewhat sick...he had diarrhea for 2 days. : Hes still playing with the blue rubber part without the treat balls in it but the rubber is soft and not holding up well to a strong chewer

The secret to success with this treat is getting the correct size. I bought one small for our Chihuahua and one large for our German Shorthair. The Shorthair got the small and the treats were gone in 2 minutes. When he started playing with his large ball, it took him 9 days to chew through the treats. He has a lot of energy and loves to chew. The first night he was chewing for about 4 hours straight. You could tell his jaws were sore the next day. When is doubt order larger than you would think. Watch your toes, the large weights about 5 pounds loaded. :-)

This toy is a must for any dog that likes to chew or has to spend time alone. It keeps them entertained for hours and helps clean their teeth too. It takes my aussie and eskie 2-3 days to work through the two treat blocks. Fill the center cavity with the soft Every Flavor Treats before putting in the second treat block for an extra reward.

I have 5 dogs, 2 yorkies, a JRT, a Cocker & the reason I bought the Everlasting Treat Ball, a Irish Wolfhound. The IW can destroy anything and she has yet to even put a scratch on the ball. The treat lasts for a couple days with 5 dogs taking "turns". I can barely get the treat in, if you dog can get it out without licking it down to a sliver then you're not putting the treat in the ball correctly.

My full grown min-pin had the treat out and completely devoured in 15 minutes.

I have used this 4-5 times, and the dog usually has no problem freeing the treat right away. I think it worked as intended only once. He loves the treat, but I found it quite smelly (maybe that's why he loves it!). Since it's not "everlasting," I'm happier with less expensive options, such as the Twist n' Treat which can be filled with any treat.

This is by far the best treat-chew-toy I have bought for my dog. I have a 7-month-old Chocolate Lab who is the ultimate chewer. I can leave this toy with him in his crate for hours while I am at work, and sure enough when I get home he is still chewing away. My boyfriend even takes the ball with him into the field during training for when they take a break. It doesn't matter how many pheasants are in the field, all of his attention goes to the ball. The ball is durable and the treats last. My one suggestion is to make sure you buy the right size. If the ball is too small, the treats are easier to pop out. BUY THE BALL! ENJOY THE PEACE AND QUIET!

My dog loves this toy. The rubber is very durable and it occupies her for hours. Sometimes we put the treat on just one side and stuff the inside with her Beggin' Strips. She goes nuts!!

My Chihuahuas LOVE this toy/treat! It lasts for days in our home. They are obsessed with it, it's like a chewy/toy all rolled in one. I can see a bigger dog like an Ausie Sheppard cracking the treat puzzle lot quicker but I think it's perfect for small dogs. They just don't have the jaw power to get these treats out, it takes them hours.

This is the only chew toy that my young lab loves to chew & has not distroyed. Kongs do not interest him and he has killed two Jolly Balls. He loves the treat ball even without a treat!

As in the other review read. My dog loved the treat, but I was disappointed that the treat could pop out of the ball so easily. It did not take to long before my dog found that out. So it was not an everlast ball.

My two Australian cattle dogs love this ball. We call it the "crackball". We use the large size, and I don't use the outside chamber because they can get the treat out in five minutes, BUT.... we use the inside chamber and fill it with torn bits of dried chicken tenders and they spend hours with their nose stuck in the ball trying to get the treats out. It consumes their attention for at least an hour or more, depending on how difficult I make it for getting the treats out. They are aggressive chewers, and the integrity of the balls have stayed intact. I have two, and both are holding up well.

My 1 year old German Shepherd was able to pop the treat out within 30 minutes of playing with it. She likes the treat however, but it won't stay in the treat ball any longer. I now only put one side of the treats in and fill the other side with her dog cookies and let her figure out how to get it out. not bad, but not great or everlasting.

I bought three large treat balls for my three Golden Retrievers. They did not hold up to the very first use. The material is soft and squishy and easily punctured and torn. Don't waste your money if you have aggressive chewers. They do like the treats, but are too expensive for a quick snack, definitely not everlasting.

We have two lab mixes and bought two Everlasting Treat Balls for them. One of them will take hours and never get the treat out of the ball. The other lab mix takes, as other people have experienced, just 5 minutes and the treat is out. We found, however, that there is the Everlocking Treat Discs you can put in. It contains two discs with a threaded stick you put between them in the ball. Works wonders! We still have the treat discs and threaded stick in the ball after many hours and that is with constant chewing!

My 1.5 year old Rottweiler was getting the treat out very quickly as well, UNTIL WE PUT THE TREAT IN UPSIDE DOWN. WHEN IT IS IN THE BALL IN A CONCAVE FASHION, THE TREAT LASTS 3-4 TIMES AS LONG. Still not perfect, but MUCH better.

my 2 year old Chessie had the treat out and consumed within 5 minutes. I stuffed large pieces of biscuits in the treat dispenser, and this did keep him occupied for a fair while, since he likes to roll things around. So far, he's not tried to eat the ball, but rather continues to roll it around and shove his snout inside to get biscuit crumbs out. for a dog uninterested in Kong toys, this has been so far, the best purchase next to bones to occupy him, but the "treat" sold with the toy was not as long lasting as I would've hoped for the expense of them. If the rubber lasts longer than a week, I'll consider it for three stars.

I purchsed several of these toys for my dogs. The first to receive one was my 11 year old Aussie. He had the treat out in less than 2 minutes. Next was the 1.5 year old Chessie. Same story. I gave the smallest version to my Pug/Pin and he too, had the treat out in record time. I would definitely not recommend this toy to anyone. They are too expensive to keep refilling and do not work! Stick with the tried and true Kong!

I have a Great Dane and a Pit Bull/Lab Mix and they love this treat ball. The Great Dane even brings it to bed and everything! Its the last toy she touches and the first one she gets in the morning. The only thing is the treat refill gets stuck inside the ball and then its hard to get out.

I reported earlier that my 5-year old JRT mastered the Everlasting treat in the outer section in less than 2 minutes, and the inner chamber in about 5 minutes. The outer rims of the toy began to tear just a few sessions later. At the present time the toy is still functional, but its integrity has been compromised, and it is only a matter of a few more sessions before it will "expire." For a lot of dogs the toy would likely last for a considerable time, but for the aggressive and eager chewers like my JRT, the toy needs to be made more durable in order to justify a purchase. Good concept, however.

My 40 lb hound/lab/border collie mix had both of the outside treats off and consumed in under 10 minutes. Then she had to go out to do her business in the middle of the night! SO - I would not recommend letting your dog eat two of the "everlasting" treats in the evening. However, the ball seems to entertain her even without any treats. It is fairly durable and can be used for tug and fetch games.

I gave my 2 adult Weimaraners each a large treat ball for Christmas last week & there was peace on earth, or at least in Milford. Both dogs ignored everything while attempting to free the treats. It took the dogs about 6 hrs (over the course of several days) to wear the treats down enough to free them from the ball and about another half an hour or more to consume what was left. Neither dog did any damage to the treat ball itself, which I find amazing - these guys are aggressive chewers!

My 5 year-old Jack Russell Terrier easily pried the Everlasting treat out in about two minutes...........he's a quick read! I then forced the treat into the inner chamber and it took him less than 5 minutes to extricate it from there. He is indeed a professional "treat burglar!"
The ball itself has held up so far, so I will report back at a later time concerning the durability.
He enjoys the challenge of the "inner sanctum" aspect of the toy, but I'm afraid that his levels of cleverness, skill, and determination largely surpass the major purpose of the toy. However, he DOES look forward to the "contest" of the inner chamber, as well as the tasty rewards!
Will let you know how well the ball holds up over time. If it survives the test of time, I would be inclined to give the toy at least a 4-star rating.

I was looking for something durable that would keep my 1 year old german shepherd entertained while I was at work. Within days the rubber was torn and he figured out how to pop out the entire treat within 5 minutes. He enjoys the toy and it does keep him busy, but not for as long as I'd hoped. Maybe it's better suited for smaller dogs or non-aggressive chewers.

Two friends recommended this ball to me. They said it took their dogs days to get the treat out. It took my Austrailian Cattle Dog 20 minutes to liberate the treat and finish eating it. That was the first time. It only takes him 15 minutes now. He does, however, love to bounce the ball around and try to get the smaller treats out of the center of the ball. It's a fun toy, but I am still looking for something that lasts at least an hour.

My two Papillons love this toy more than anything. I tried the liver flavored treats - they are very long-lasting and the dogs went crazy over them. The ball itself, however, wasn't as durable as I had hoped it would be. Within a few days of supervised play, the dogs were getting pieces off of the edge of the ball. These are six-pound dogs, so I'm not sure how much damage a larger dog would do....great concept, but maybe a more durable material would be better.....

This is one of the best toys I ever bought for my dogs! Hands down. It took and Italian Greyhound and a sckipperke 3 days to eat one side of a refill and they worked on it on and off all day. I workd for a vet and recommend it to all clients who are looking for a great toy. My dogs however would eat but didn't particularly like the BBQ or Liver flavor treat. Chicken and mint were the best!
