Rated 3 out of 5 by Smart Dogs Eventually Figure it Out At first it took my Jack Russell 4+ hours to finish one of these off. Now, she's figured out how to bite at it so that she can just pull the entire treat out of it & it's gone within the hour. May 7, 2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by Boring My dog didn't even touch this toy when I gave it to him. I left it in his toy box for a couple weeks and he didn't even bother with it. I ended up giving it to my sisters Boxer, and he got the treat out in 2.2 seconds. April 14, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Buy one size up... I have a standard size rat terrier who LOVES interactive toys. She is considered to be a medium size dog. We are amazed how fast she can find and tear out a squeaker in her toys. I decided to buy the large Everlast treat ball because she is so active. She LOVES it! After three hours of CONSTANT play and trying to eat the treat, we finally put it away so she would rest. There is no damgage to the ball - and my dog is one who will chew anything. I think the key is to make sure you get the right size for not only the size of your pet, but the personality. My dog is VERY active and is can stay focused for long periods of time. This is a keeper for us and I am going to start stocking up on the refills for this toy. What a great item to give my dog as I leave for work! February 23, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great! For a few hours... My 4 month old French bulldog LOVES this toy. The first time I gave it to him he consistently chewed on it for about 3 hours until the "everlasting" treat ran out. The blue rubber piece held up well, but he has tiny baby teeth so we'll see how it does over the next few months. I've tried putting treats in the middle when the everlasting treat ran out but he gets bored with it. I am buying refill treats for the toy and this time around will only give him the toy as a last resort to settle because he goes through the treat so fast. February 2, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by A Shoe Saver I have a 7 month old Mastiff/Lab mix who would constantly break into closets and chew shoes, hats... whatever she could get her teeth on. She's teething, so her poor gums hurt something awful. It was a huge problem for her safety to the point that we started crating her (even though she hates the crate). We had tried a stuffed, frozen Kong, interactive toys.. everything we could think of. Once we found this toy, it was night and day. She spends hours gnawing on it and is perfectly behaved. We have every flavor available, and as long as their inserted properly... she will wear the treat down in about 3 days. Compared to $200 a month in shoes, I'm happy to pay $8 a month in ever-lasting treats. January 17, 2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by Wanted to like it, but... We have a few of each of the Everlasting balls for our dogs since they are the house favorites. They love every one of them but this one. It's just too heavy! It doesn't bounce due to the weight. This is the only Everlasting that is left to sit in our home. October 23, 2011
Rated 1 out of 5 by not worth it Bought this for my lab mix. He loved the treat, but destroyed the ball!! Inserting a new treat is impossible! Not worth the trouble. 599922 September 27, 2011
Rated 1 out of 5 by Waste of money. I just bought this product and it was advertised as "virtually indestructible." Within an hour, my medium-sized dog ripped right through it. Definitely don't recommend this product if your dog loves to chew - VERY DESTRUCTIBLE!! April 14, 2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by I recommend this to all my friemds I both my large dogs love this toy. It is by far my dog's favorite & any of the dogs visiting us. I've had two of these for almost three years. February 20, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Fantastic!! I got thus for my lab mix over a year ago and he absolutely loves it. Since he can't have the everlasting treats too often (loose stool) I'll usally fill it with a combination of soft treats and kibble which holds his attention wonderfully. I recommend this product to anyone who has hardcore chewers. In over a year there isn't a single puncture or scratch. Though it can be difficult to replace the everlasting treats, it helps to have very strong hands or use a butter knife to manuver the silicon. January 24, 2011
Rated 3 out of 5 by How do I get the treat in the ball? my 2 huskies love the treats, but how do i get the treat in the ball? My husband & I both tried & tried, but can't get it in there! Can someone please tell me how? What's the trick? January 11, 2011
Rated 2 out of 5 by fun! when i ordered this toy, i thought it would be great! i ordered extra treats in different flavors, assuming with them it would be weeks or a couple months before i would have to order more. However, with in 3 minutes my dog (a german shepard/boxer mix) and on treats popped out, so when i took that treats away she left the other one in. thinkin problem avoided, i let her start playing with it again, with in 15 minutes she had the other treat almost completely eaten. She loved it but not as long lasting as i had hoped. December 10, 2010
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great for our Pyrenese! We have to Great Pyrenese. One five years and a one year old at over 90 lbs. We purchased a LARGE ball and extra treats. Our Moose has not popped the treats out and two treats, one insterted on each side lasts about a week and a half. The ball has no wear spots. Although he eats the treats quickly he will continue to play with the ball. The older dog primarily licks the treats and chewing has never been an issue with her, but she enjoys the flavor. I would suggest this toy again and again. July 25, 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by Clumbers (power chewers) LOVE these toys This is the ONLY toy my power chewing clumbers cannot destroy. Stopped buying the treats because they're very expensive cookies, but they love the toys empty or filled with my own treats. We've destroyed Kongs, Nylabones, and natural bones - even 'pit bull and tiger tested' toys but these Starmark toys are the only ones I'll buy any more. Indestructible and go thru the dishwasher nicely. Wish they made even more of a variety! June 9, 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best value I've found...... I have a Yorkie who just turned one year, and she loves to chew. The first toy with a choc smelling treat kept her occupied for 4 straight days--she SLEPT with her toy. Needless to say, I'm ordering refills! May 27, 2010
Rated 1 out of 5 by Yummy treats, horrible results My yorkie mix puppy was about 6 months old when we tried this toy. The first treat took him 4 hours to lick and bite and finally eat. I thought we'd finally found the perfect treat toy... until he got his second treat a week later. He figured out how to take the treat out and wouldn't be caught to get it away from him. He ate the whole thing and then his stomach bloated and he started throwing up yeast. These treats contain a ton of Brewers' Yeast which is horrible for dogs and can cause stomache issues and frothy vomit. The blue ball only has minor tears in it from his teeth but he won't be getting any more of these treats. April 23, 2010
Rated 3 out of 5 by Not what it was planned for The toy has treats that fill in the spaces on the outside, the treats are so easy to get to and eat that the dogs took no time to finish it and it did not live up to the name everlasting. BUT... I have found that if I put treats that are disk shape in the inner section and give it to the dogs they are able to chew and take some time before getting the treat out, changing my opinion of the toy but not the treats that come with it. Rated 4 out of 5 by Toy Poodles and a Treat Ball I love these things for my toy poodles. The ball keeps them busy for at least 30 minutes and by that time they are tired and ready for a nap! The still have some left for later too. Gives me a little time to get some things done. I must admit they are a little pricey if you have a large dog that can chew them up too fast. January 16, 2010
Rated 1 out of 5 by Lasted about 2 minutes...... My dog figured out how to pop them right out after about 2 minutes. I thought he got lucky but put it back in and 2 minutes later, it was out again. It was so easy for him to do this too. I would stick with the brands that have actually tested the product like Kong or Nylabone. Don't buy this until they figure out how to lock the treat in place. January 2, 2010
Rated 4 out of 5 by Everlasting treat ball and a pitbull it seems great, a bit pricy. the treats last a few hours. my pit figured out how to get the treats out of the ball within the first few minutes of having it. he loves the treats though, if only they were cheaper December 20, 2009
