3 bigs dogs, great deal, 5/7/2012

SHAINA from Riverside, Ca

With 3 dogs over 66lbs I have been hating buying the expensive brands of spot on flea stuff. Baths dont keep them off long enough and powders and sprays never work as long as they say and the collars are always coming off!!! This was the answer to my prayers. I can now afford it, and IT WORKS!!! I mark the calendar and make sure they dont miss a dose, we haven't had a problem!! Some of the other cheaper spot on's gave one of my dogs horrible dry skin and hot spots, but not SentryPro. Thank you Dog.com for supplying a great product and a great price!

Love It!!, 4/16/2012

ptre from vermont

I tried the products I could get from my vet, they were way more expensive and my dogs still had fleas and ticks. I thought I wasn't doing something right and had the vet apply just to see, still had fleas and ticks. I switched just to see how good this worked guess what? NO fleas, or ticks. I've been using this product on three different types of dog for the last 3 years. They have had no bad reactions and when they see the box they come running to get their treatment! They even know it works. We live in the country and do a lot of walking in the woods, so its great to have a product that works! Can't beat the price either!

Sentry Pro worked for my puggle, 6/21/2010

Deb Boyer from

I always used the vet brands, never had and issue nor did my puggle. Money situation made me look for alternative. So far Sentry Pro is working great for my pooch. Just used it for the third time. First time worked great. second time he had a few fleas towards the months end. I think this was my fault. Not sure I applied all the medicine. I made sure this time I did. He never had a reaction to speak of. Great alternative to the high priced vet products if your pet can use it. When I applied it for the third time within 30 minutes he wasn't chasing his tail for fleas anymore. He settled down for a nice uninterrupted nap. He would be napping and jump up to bite his tail due to the fleas. This all stopped once I used the Sentry Pro. Hope this helps.

no problems, 4/17/2010

wendell from

I own a 95lb boxer , He lives outside , Get's regular vet visits. One year ago I started him on this product after first paying extremely high prices on other products. I was at first sceptical as to the validaty of it. After questioning the vet about it , I learned that all products used for flea & tick control have some risk factors. This product may work for some dogs and not for others. Concider yourself or your dog LUCKY if it works for him or her. At this price point ,the value cant be beat. My dog has had absolutly no problems, but the fleas and ticks have.

Great Product if used correctly!, 11/1/2009

Sarah from Ohio

I have used this product on my dogs for the last few years, as well as the rescues that come in and out of my house. I have not had any problems with allergies and such. I have read many reviews on here and if your dog has fleas, more than likely they are itching their skin and possibly causing some sores. This is the reason why your dog may have problems with this product. My mother's shih-tzu reacted this way. I have used it on my large breed dogs as well as the cat version on my cats. Any flea medicated is a pesticide, so we should always take precautions.

Sentry Pro, 8/12/2009

Jenae from Topeka KS

I just got the Sentry Pro yesterday and placed it on my little pug mix. She didnt react to it very well. She started to roll around on the floor and then became so lethargic. For my dog its not normal at all. She is always sleeping with us and at our heels. She hates her kennel but she sure did go in there sleep, and get up and then go on the closet and sleep in the corner. She couldn't make up her mind....it was just weird. I would say after reading these reviews keep away from smaller breeds or all together.

Works for my pups!, 7/25/2009

Lisette from TN

I have not had any problems using this product. I have used vet issued flea and tick drops and store bought. I have been using this product for a few months now and my dogs do not have any reactions. They don't have any fleas either! My dogs visit the vet often for check ups and they are healthy. I'm sorry to hear that some dogs are having problems but also wanted to say some are not :) Brand Name: Sentry Pro Squeeze-On Flea & Tick Control for Dogs

Beware of this product, 6/7/2009

Kimberly from Rock Hill, SC

Although the product does indicate some potential side effects after seeing my very energetic 100 pound Rottweiler become lethargic, lose weight, lose hair, and become unresponsive to us we discovered through online research that this product could cause seizures and even death. The price at the store is nice during the present economy but it is not worth it when you see how sick it can make your beloved pet.

Watch out for Sentry Pro, 5/20/2009

Tim from CA

I uased it about an hour ago and I am so sorry I used this product on my little dog. I am going to wash it off right away. My dog is bouncing off furniture, she is totally not herself. I thinkk this stuff is extremely toxic to our dogs. Stay away from it. I am taking it back to PetSmart.

Works great on ticks., 5/14/2009

Lois Sayre from Ripley, WV

We are overrun with ticks this time of year. I have a doberman, beagle, & 2 mini pins. All the unattached ticks fell off dead in a few hours and the attached ones were dead within 24 hrs. No allergic problems, just don't make the stripe down the dog's back too far, where the dog can bite itself. One of them did foam at the mouth but it went away. That was my fault. This is the only thing that works other than Frontline and I've tried almost all of them. Why don't you try putting the dog outside until it dries? It's worth it to try this product if you cannot buy Frontline.

Causes Constant scratching, 4/2/2009

Lisa from Albany NY

My healthy yellow lab has been thrashing her self into furntiture, rolling around on the floor and ground outside, anything she can do to scratch her itchy back. She was up pacing most of the first night that I put it on her. I thought it may wear off, but finally 5 days later, it only subsided a bit, so I gave her a bath to get the stuff off. She is still itchy. There is other stuff out there that is effective but not as expensive as front line.

This product was horrible. It caused itching and inflamation in our dogs. Also the formula would not dry and left oily marks on furniture and bed linens.

BEWARE SENTRY PRO, 11/12/2008

Monica Behney from Richmond, VA

I used this product on my dog because I couldn't afford the prescription brands. This was a mistake! About 2 hours after applying the solution my dog started salivating and drooling continuously. She was also compulsively licking her legs. I've never seen that much drool--she was leaving little puddles. Since the packaging mentioned "sensitivity," I did what it said and gave her a thorough bath, but the drooling/licking has not improved yet. It is going to be a long watchful night for me. I don't know yet about the fleas, but it's not worth this kind of worry and bad side effects!!!

very good product, 4/12/2008

Lisa from Smithfield, Pa

For the price, it is a wonderful product. I have 10 rescued dogs ranging in weight from 25# to 110#. All the dogs have been free of fleas all summer. It didn't take care of all the ticks -- but it dramaticaly reduced the ticks they did get as compared to other flea/tick products I have used in the past.

Scary , 2/8/2008

Lilly & Posey from Ehrhardt SC

I recently tried this product on both of my dogs since we have warm weather most of the year and fleas are part of life in SC. Within 30 min. both dogs became very sick. I read the instructions and gave them both a bath to get the product off of them and they seem to be find after a few hours. This was a very scary experience for me and the dogs. I felt so bad. Both dogs were drooling and coughing and very anxious. I was very disappointed in this product and out $60.

Excellent Product, 1/16/2008

Lisa from Illinois

I have a 1 year old HAIRY Golden Retriever. He has been on this spot treatment since he made weight requirement as a puppy. I live with wild animals running all over my property and my dog has been protected this whole year. He swims in rivers, walks all over town near other animals, and has a play yard that he shares with any critter brave enough to come near him. This product is just as effective as the pricey ones.

Added costs of usage..., 11/12/2007

Lus Mom from Kalamazoo, MI

I read many positive reviews on this product and thought Id switch from another topical I had been using on my dog that was more expensive. BIG MISTAKE!!! I spent over a $100 in vet bills after using it because my dog had a severe allergic reaction. It was so bad that my vet actually called the company to report the incident. My very happy, energetic german shorthair became lethargic, loopy, and began to drool incessantly. I had to carry her in to the office and I didnt know if she was going to live. I am happy to report that she is better, but Ill NEVER use another Sentry product. This stuff is supposed to protect our beloved pets, not create illness.

Fleas loved it, 11/4/2007

Virginia C from Seabeck, Wa

I read all the reviews and the comparisons to the other flea drops. I used it on my two dogs for two months and I swear the FLEAS LOVED IT. IT DOES NOT WORK. There was no reduction of fleas and they seemed to become more aggressive after I used it.My poor dogs were going crazy. My male was being shown but I had to remove coat and started using Advantage to get rid of the fleas. I was going to return the unused tubes but return postage was more than the cost of the product. It may work if your dog does not have fleas and is not exposed but my male is exposed at shows all the time and SENTRY DOES NOT WORK.

Wasted Money, 8/20/2007

Tammy from Mulino, Or

I read the reviews before I bought this product. It doesnt work AT ALL. It doesnt even repel fleas. Its been four days since I applied it to my dogs, and the cat version to my cats, and they still have fleas on them. It doesnt do anything it claims to, and now I have to spend more money to get a product that does work, like Frontline or Advantage. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!

Evelyn Quinones from Deltona,Florida

I have a chihuahua and used Sentry Pro for the past eight months, no fleas or ticks in the house , dogs bedding or my bedroom. There a cat that lives next door and visits my dog sometimes, when I walk my dog. My dog gets a bath every month, I have not seen one on my dog, when it comes close to the date to reaply each month. The smell of the flea & tick goes away the next day. My dog is happy and not scratching at the end of the month. Im happy with the product, and continute to buy and use it on my dog.
