I'm so glad I invested in this wonderful tool! I have a dalmatian that leaves black and white hair ALL over my house and car. He enjoys rolling around on the carpet and often goes around the house shaking and I cringe when I see all the hair flying off of him. I used to brush him regularly, but it did little good. I bought this at a local pet supply store when they promised I could bring it back if I wasn't satisfied. However, after using it, I will never let this thing go! Even on my short haired dog, it removed a TON of excess hair. With regular use, you will see less hair around your house and your dog's coat will improve. My dog enjoys getting brushed with this as well, so it must be gentle on them. The blades are not sharp to the touch either, but however it works, it does a great job!

The Furminator makes all other brushes obsolete

At first I had some sticker shock regarding the price, but after speaking with two dog groomers here in Nebraska I had to get one to see if it was that good.
It was incredible. I have 2 large Yellow Labs that are indoor dogs and piles of hair became a big problem. Had to run the vacuum once or even twice a day. Forget about wearing any dark clothing without using the sticky rollers.
The difference is night and day after using the Furminator.
And as far as the price goes, I have made up for it very quickly without having to buy as many vacuum bags and lint rollers. The Furminator has really been a godsend.

I have 2 pyrs (very large, long hair double coat) and 2 pugs, I can vacuum 2 bags of hair a day without using the furminator without any difficulties, with the Furminator, I can vacuum every other day and still be okay. The fur will come off like nothing else, your dog will be fluffy, and free from dead hair. You will still have to do the work, but at least you know it's worth the trouble. Only draw backs are that you will have to be careful when brushing since the blade is sharp, the other is that your dog will not have the same insulation properties from its coat since the warming portion is brushed out. So if you intend for your dog to spend much time outside in the cold weather this would not be for you. Overall, I love this product as it saves me tons of time, trouble, effort and frustration. Don't see why it's so pricey as it can't be that much more to produce as any of the other brushes, and replacement blades are almost as much as the whole thing. Price leaves much to be desired, functionality is fabulous!

FINALLY, A SHEDDING COMB THAT REALLY WORKS. i HAVE 2 DOG, ONE A GERMAN SHEPHERD AND ONE A GOLDEN RETRIEVER, BOTH PURE BREDS. THEY SHED TERRIBLE, AND I HAVE 'WASTED' MONEY ON OTHER COMBS AND RAKES THAT ARE SUPPOSED TO GET ALL THE DEAD FUR OFF. WELL, AFTER USING THE OTHER ONES, MY DOG WILL SHAKE A FEW MINS LATER AND THE FUR STILL FLIES. WITH THE FURMINATOR, NOT ONLY IS ALL OF THE DEAD FUR OFF, BUT THEY SEEM TO BE VERY RELAXED WITH THE BRUSHING. IT IS LIKE A MESSAGE TO THEM, AND WHEN THEY SHAKE, THERE IS NO FLYING FUR. THE PRICE IS HIGH, BUT I WILL NEVER HAVE TO BUY ANOTHER ONE AS THIS IS THE ONE THAT REALLY WORKS.

I was at a lost of what to do about my shedding puppy. I was vaccuming my sofa almost every day. I had read the reviews and decided to give in and try this product. I was SO IMPRESSED with how much hair it removed from my pup that I invested in the entire product line. This stuff REALLY works...it's been a lifesaver for me!
