My dogs love these balls! They're great for indoor and outdoor play, are easy to clean, and are durable. In fact, it is the ONLY toy one of my super-chewer dachshunds does not destroy in a matter of minutes. The material is strong yet stretchy enough to provide chew appeal. I really like that the material is non-toxic. Only one caution: The "continents" are attached pieces which my dogs do pull off. I've learned to check frequently and when the pieces are loosened, I just pull them off myself. Removing them doesn't damage the ball at all. I hope they are available for a long time!!

I bought a couple a few years back for our 120lb non-retrieving golden retriever and our cocker spaniel. They loved them and the retriever could not destroy it. (True, he chewed off the continents, but the ball themselves stayed intact.)
It was his favorite toy until the day he peacefully passed away. Then we gave the balls to two friends for their dogs. They STILL have them and the balls are their fovorite toys.
Am now buying a small one for our papillon and four others for family dogs. Your dog will love it!

We've had 2 of these balls. Both the exact same thing but the first was was very soft and squishy and my dog loved that one the most, however, it came apart so I had to take it away before it became a hazard. I replaced it with another and it was very hard. She plays with it sometimes but not like the other one. This one is still intact. Due to less play or better build I'm not sure. I feel safer with this hard one but the soft one was more fun to play with. No idea why they were so different.

Although this is not my dogs favorite toy. He loves it. It has a great bounce to it.

Orbee is a great ball, my dog loves it and it smells good. But, the first thing she did was chew off the sperated pcs of land. Why aren't the pcs of land molded on and just painted? I have to constantly pull pcs from her mouth.

I have a schnoodle... a schnauzer poodle. He's about 18 pound, but a powerful chewer. He loved this ball as soon as I gave it to him, but it took me a day or two to realize he has been chewing off the continents! I think the ball is adorable and it kept him excited, but it was a poor design to be able to peel those things off.

We have a 9 month old Lab and and within minutes he had chewed off the continents. It turned out they were not one solid piece but somehow just atatched and he figured it out. Waste of money!

If you are looking for a tuff ball that will stand up to abuse from your dog, choose one of the smooth orbee balls, such as the woof, fetch or diamond plate. the ones with raised designs can be torn apart. We have a Dalmatian that destroys any other type of ball, but the silver diamond plate style and woof and fetch have held up great! He loves them and will chew on them making a "popping" or squeeking noise that he loves.

I have 3 corgis ranging in age from 10 months to 6 years. They are agility addicts and as such are high drive with balls. Orbee is their favorite to play retriever/tug. I wouldn't leave any toy that can be chewed with a dog unsupervised. They can/will destroy them.

I read the previous write up thinking I was purchasing the best of the best, when it comes to a tough ball that will last for the money.
I have a 2 year young Yellow Lab, she loves to chew (don't they all) So I purchased 2 of the Planet Balls...
Within less then 1 hour one of the balls was chewed up.... in thousand oaks.... :(

I have wonderful action pictures of Taffy my Parson Russell jumping in the air to catch this ball. She carries it everywhere with her. She even takes it with her when we go to work. Best ball on the market and guaranteed. She even falls asleep with it in her mouth!

We've had this ball for FIVE years -- that is an amazing feat amongst two retrievers! They usually destroy toys in literally < 2 hours. This Orbee ball is indestructible!

I bought 1 Orbee ball, just to see how the "kids" liked it. I have 4 dogs - 2 goldens & 2 labs. Each day it was a disagreement over who was getting to play with the Orbee - it would be passed back and forth, swiped, etc. So, for dogs who love to play ball - this is a safe bet. Ours truly LOVE this ball.

My dogs loved these balls, but after a short amount of time, 20 minutes or so, they started ripping off the continents on the ball. Then everything begins to peel off once the continents are off, and my dogs swallow the pieces and then puke them up. They are English Bulldogs with VERY POWERFUL jaws and I haven't found many toys they don't distroy! But they did like these!!

My K9 GSD also chews the outside parts off. But i still think it's a pretty good ball if they can fix the parts from coming off or just don't have them on....Jerry

My Jack Russell loves this toy. She rips plastic toys to shreads usually but this was 2 tough 4 her 2 chew. She always plays with it. I would definitely reccomend this 2 a friend. It bounces for her and she challenges herself with it. It is her fav. toy.

My two year old golden retriever cannot go anywhere without his earth ball. If he has left it outside at night he will pace between our two entrances until we let him out to get it. He always knows exactly where he's left it. We have had a casuality to the two feet of snow, misplaced in the backyard I'm sure he'll know where it is in the spring.

This will be my third orbee and I swear by them .... by westie can eat through a toy tire in 5 minutes made of real tire rubber! He has yet to destroy this ball The down side he bites off the continent parts so watch out for that I usually by the small i am going to try the medium and see what happens!

I like this ball and its scent but somehow, my dog always managed to peel the continental parts off the ball surface and swallowed them, and after a while, he ended up vomiting all the pieces out. He is also capable of punching his teeth into the ball and eventually chew the ball into pieces. If your dog is a tough chewer or if heshe likes to tear or peel, i wouldnt recommend this toy

Everyone is writing about the durability, and their right! However, the countries on the ball will peel off eventually. I have heard you can exchange them, so I am going to try to. I would still recommend the ball, though. They are awesome!

This ball has proven to be pretty durable for my 3 dogs, 2 corgis and a Jack Russell. It is a little bit heavy for retrieving, but my dogs have fun rolling it around on the floor. I like to freeze it in a plastic bowl and watch my dogs lick the ice to get it out. I have the orange and pink one, which I think is the smaller of the sizes. So far, they havent chewed any of the continents off and we have had it for about a year.

My Westie *loves* this ball! She was weirded out by the scent of the ball when I first showed it to her, but now its one of her favorite toys. Shes also a good chewer and some of the continents are missing but it still bounces much to her delight. Great toy overall.

My labradoodle LOVES her ball. Above and beyond her favorite toy. However, she is not an aggressive chewer, more of a nibbler, so she hasnt damaged the ball at all. Great bounce though and, unlike tennis balls, the dog can hear it when it bounces on grass.

My German Shepherds LOVE the Orbee balls but as the other reviewer said, the large one was destroyed in no time. I've also purchased the medium and small size planet balls, the Orbee tennis balls and "Woof" & "Fetch" balls. Anything with a raised surface, (the planets & the surface of the tennis ball) was peeled off by my male. He also quickly split the larger balls and eventually tore large chunks out of them. The smaller ball had less give so he couldn't split them as easily. However, both dogs still love these ball above all other ball I have ever purchased. They are are an expensive disposable chew toy.
PS - I almost forgot - the Orbee frisbees are really soft but therefore very destructible by a dog

These balls bounce well and smell good, but they are NOT tough. About 3 minutes after I gave one to my Border Terrier, she had pulled off the entire continent of Australia. It's really a poor design to this toy and I feel it's a major choking hazard. Dogs are attracted to chewing the ball because of its enticing flavors, and the contintents are poorly secured.

I bought several of the large balls to test with my personal dogs before using them in our boarding kennel. My 11 y/o Jack Russell claimed the first one instantly and enjoyed carrying it around and chewing on it with no damage to the ball.
Enter the six month old JRT puppy. Within 15 minutes he tore half of the continents off the ball. He did enjoy the good bounce and both seemed to like the peppermint. The tougher chewers in the house didn't get to use the ball much because of the pieces that could come off. If this ball was made plain, I would give it five stars for medium to tough chewers.

I've had these since they first came out. They float, bounce even in higher grass, and cannot be destroyed. My 2 aussies will destroy any toy known to man, EXCEPT this particular ball. They cannot put a tooth mark in them. Over the yrs, the raised planets can be pulled off, but the ball keeps going.

The worse part about this ball is that I have to hide it every once in awhile to take a break. My dog absoloutely loves it, and won't fetch anything else. I also like the peppermint, because she can sniff it out if it gets misplaced. But overall, she thinks its fantastic !!

The medium Orbee is my Pit Bull/Rottie mix dog's favorite toy. He is a super chewer and destroys most of his toys in a matter of minutes. This toy holds up really well. After months, he still is not bored with it and carried it with him everywhere. If you have a super chewer, I suggest getting the medium size. The large size does not seem to hold up as well.

My 3 German Shepherds LOVE the Planet Dog Orbee Balls AND they can't destroy them like they have so many other balls. It would be great of they made an even larger one for playing puppy soccer that couldn't be popped but for now these are fine.

My Boston Terrier lives for his Orbee globe. Any size any color. He carries it around and sleeps with it he even takes walks with it in his mouth. He is so proud of his "world" he shows it to everyone who comes to the house. He will chase this terrific ball and play fetch for hours. I do wish they were indestructible though because he does chew off the continents then sometimes eats the ball. We buy them on a regular basis. Thanks for this terrific toy!

My two dogs LOVE these balls. Because of their texture, they are easy for the dogs to pick up. They are holding up very well (although I don't let the dogs use them as chew toys). The dogs do, however, chew on them a bit during play and haven't gotten any pieces off of them.

Orbee is a great ball. However after less than a week my 43 lb 11 month old puppy gnawed through one side it. It was good while it lasted but don't get your heart send on indestructible especially if you have an "aggressive chewer".

My crazy, ridiculous Lab who destroys everything LOVES these balls. Now, they're the only thing she'll play fetch with, and whenever we go to the dog park, I have to bring at least two--because other dogs steal them from her and carry them around in their mouths chewing them and obsessing over them just like she does.
They're totally indestructable, the hole through the center makes an interesting noise when you throw it that makes my dog go nuts.
They're bouncy, chewy, and bright. Everyone asks where I got them all the time, as they're trying to pry my orbee ball out of their dog's mouth.

It's the one of a few balls that my Shiba has not been able to destroy. It's also light and soft enough that you can throw it indoors without fear of breaking your belongings. Expensive, but worth it for aggresive chewers.

My beagle loves the orbee balls so much he will not play fetch with anything else now. I think it's the peppermint scent and flavor. Sometimes he chews it like gum.
I also bought some orbees for my co-workers' dogs and most of them loved them too. They had seemed indestructible to me but a lab and a boxer managed to destroy them rather quickly. My dog is on his fourth orbee now but only because the others were lost. I can certainly see why it has won awards.
