We bought this door a few years ago when we had our real door replaced. We had it professionally installed in a steel door. The door leads to the garage so it is not totally exposed to the wheather. I have two Lowchen dogs who were puppies when we got the door. We bought the large size because the door hole looked small on the medium size. Glad we bought the large because they run in and out with ease and are able to carry their toys through the door. I just ordered a replacement flap because after a few winters it doesn't seal as tight and it gets too dirty to clean. I am glad I chose this product. It is well made in my opinion and stands up to much abuse. When the flaps are sealed they do not let cold air in. I recommend having it professionally installed though for a good tight fit.

I bought one of these doors to replace a much cheaper one that had finally broken after 10 years of hard use by my 4 Airedales. I am extremely disappointed in the quality and operation of this door. The flaps constantly fall off and the magnest are too weak to keep the door closed. It blows open with the slightest breeze. It is advertised as having an insulated closure, but I haven't found any insulation on my door. When the weather is cold, the doors get stiff and mis-shapen and allow cold air to blow in. I have to keep the metal door on most of the winter which defeats the purpose of having a pet door. I wish I would have opted to buy another of the cheaper doors I had which worked much better than this door. I would NOT recommend this door to anyone.

I have had this pet door for years. Lately I have found the flap does not hold up. I have large dogs and use the extra large door. The safety break is too sensitive for large dogs using it frequently. My most recent replacement lasted only one month.

Doggie door is working great. Dogs love it. The door was too high when we followed the instructions. Works better to have the door lower so dogs can easily step over it and it does not hit their belly. We are very happy. Good product.
