Other brands have licorice flavored toothpaste and Petrodex Beef or Chicken is the one they love. One day a week, I'd clip their nails, clean their ears, and scrape their teeth with a dental tool - finally, I'd brush their teeth and they thought this last step was their TREAT! i've been brushing dog teeth for over 25 years and never have had a dog that disliked it. In fact I have two dogs now that trust me so much that they allow me to use an electric toothbrush! That would never happedn without the beef flavored toothpaste!!
I recommend patience when exposing a dog to brushing. Remember, just like toe nails you don't have to do all of them at once. Make it fun. If you do, they always want more.

All three of our dogs just absolutely love this toothpaste. They all come running to be first to get their teeth brushed. I wouldn't use any other brand. If you have dogs that are difficult to get a toothbrush into their mouths then this may just help change their minds. The toothpaste works well too.
