I have 2 Xlarge Deluxe Vari Kennels and my 2 year old APBT has found a way to escape from his crate through somehow turning the lock from inside just enough to where he can shove the door open while the pins are partially still in place.
If you have a dog that has escaped a crate before, please be cautious. It isn't escape proof.

Im moving back to the UK next year, and I got this crate to take my dog back in. Shes a Miniature Pinscher and much taller than she is wide. The one she had only allowed for 1 inch of head room and was the same size as the small Sky Kennel. The airline requires at least 2 inches, so I got the medium kennel. It has more than enough headroom but Ill need to pad it out a bit when she travels so shes not jostled about too much. Overall, very impressed with the crate, and the accessories provided with it are very useful. There are live animal stickers, 2 waterfood cups that fit securely, and Im confident that shell be okay in this kennel.

I breed and ship Labrador Retrievers all over the world and I exclusively use the Sky Kennel, it has extra ventilation on all four sides and is made extra tough for protection of your pet. The Large and Up come with a rotary lock and extra secure door that even the sneakest of dogs can not escape from. It is not more expensive, just better made.
