We have three dogs in our home. One is a lab/pit bull puppy, who is a very aggressive chewer. This is one of the few toys that she has not destroyed inside of a few weeks. This has lasted 6+ months, and we are ordering more because it is a favorite with our two Pekingeses, as well.

The bone is made for power chewers for sure. But it is a very hard plastic so hard that our dogs teeth slip on it. He does not want to even try to chew on it because he can't get grip at all. He loves the flex bone so looks like I will have to go back to them and replace often.

As far as pet approval - 100% - they LOVE these, but they're not mommy approved anymore!
After getting a Durable Nylabone (instead of the flexible, less hard version), one of my Aussie's broke 2 of her teeth. $2000.00 later for a root canal in one & a sealant on the other, the price doesn't look so good! If you have an aggressive chewer, use a Flexible Nylabone, Kong or Bully Sticks - something you can press your thumb nail into. It might cost more to purchase more frequently but it will save you a lot of money in the long run & heartache knowing your dog won't end up with broken chompers & be in pain until you can fix their teeth.

These are great for my two pitbulls-both chewers-they love the flavor and spend lots of time chewing on these-they are better than the regular bones because they are not as heavy if dropped on the Mistresse's foot!!

I have a Black Lab and a German Shepard. As they love to be underfoot, I found myself bribing them with rawhides to seek even a few moments of quite in the day. Looking for an alternative, I found these NYLABONES. I purchased 2 of them a bit hesitantly, knowing the kind of chewers my kids are. I went with the WOLF size, which was a bit cheaper, thinking if they destroyed them, I wouldn't be out as much money. THEY ARE A BIG HIT! They have enough flavor to keep them interesting and enough strength to hold up to my dogs. I noticed the other day that, after a month of chewing, one of the bones is starting to show some jagged edges. (It gets chewed on a lot more than the other one.) I'm ordering the larger size to that I can replace these if/when they become a hazard. We are all very pleased with the NYLABONES and would recommend them to anyone with a dog that likes to chew.
