I bought two of these for my six-month-old Brittany, and they do not slide or tip, but she doesn't like to eat out of them. My guess is that they have a "metallic" taste and smell that she doesn't like... not worth the money.

you can buy non slip fabric on a roll from any large super market, eg ASDA WOOLMART for about one english pound.Glue to bottom of bowl with non toxic glue and your bowls will stay in place all the time.
