Rated 3.7 out of 5 by 14 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by 6 Month Rottie named: HOSS Loves it. Hoss outgrew his existing 42"x28"x30" crate already - at 6 months. This luxuriously large crate of 54"x37"x45" has him stretched out and sitting tall again. Usually can beat their competitor's prices, but not on this at $144.00 - the add'l oversize charges were to be expected, but even adding those charges on saved me over $40.00 with Amazon, PetSpace, PeTravelCenter, other websites, including Sears. I did my homework and ended up with With the $20.00 online coupon code - Hoss is safe and sound in his new crate. Thanks Dog.Com !!!! October 19, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by The best crate out there for Great Danes I absolutely love this crate. I am not sure what the other reviewers are talking about as I can assemble/disassemble this crate alone in less than ten minutes and have had to do so on multiple occasions for cleaning. We have three of these crates for our Danes and they all love them and feel very secure in them. If you need a crate for a GIANT Breed, this is the only way to go. My only suggestion would be to cut something solid (like plexiglass or plywood) to go underneath the plastic pan as it tends to break easily if a heavy (100#+) dog sleeps on it for more than a couple of hours due to the load not being evenly distributed over the hard metal rods that make up the bottom panel. Rated 5 out of 5 by Great BIG Crate! I bought this crate for my great dane. I have to say that it is everything that I thought it would be. He doesn't have to bend his head in order to get in it- like another crate I bought else where. The size is great and it was very easy to put together. Very happy with my purchase and I know that my dog is too! December 23, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Fits all 3 of my dogs! I purchased this crate when my great dane was a 60# 4mth old puppy who needed/wanted to be crated with my 75# boxer and 100# lab, It fit all 3 of them with plenty of space!, they now all still fit with the great dane being 27inches at the shoulder and 130# they all sleep curled up together even when not crated. I love how tall it is I can bend over and walk inside of it to retrieve lost toys of blankets. I did not purchase the pan to go with it however I cut a piece of 1/2 inch plywood and put peel and stick linolum tile on it abd then give them blankets, this makes it very easy to clean August 23, 2011
Rated 2 out of 5 by Buyer beware I purchased this crate along with the pan and divider. The instructions and not very good. We put the crate together and the top was too large meaning the hooks did not engage with the top of the side panels. I contacted the company and they told me to re-assemble the side panels with the sharp hooks on the inside of the kennel [ I put those sharp hooks on the outside to protect my dog] and that would make up the difference in the top panel. The sides of this crate come in 4 sections and they are held together vertically with a long rod in the center of each side. When I questioned the thinking behind buying a crate to protect my dog and putting the sharp hooks on the inside of the crate, I was told that "people complained that they were tearing there clothing" on the sharp hooks when they were on the outside of this crate so the company put them on the inside of the crate. Buyer beware not the crates of old March 1, 2011
Rated 2 out of 5 by Not for the strong willed dogs First i was unhappy with purchase as it states ships within 24hrs...(usually) well mine took over a week & as many phone calls. That said the kennel itself was tricky to put together. Not hard in concept but for one person who is 5ft was not possible. Then my St Bernard puppy hates it & has just about escaped it. So for a large mellow dog be good. Not built for a wild puppy. January 25, 2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by Need replacement I can only imagine how huge this crate is by the size of the pieces. I can see how you would want to assemble it in the room it will stay in. Very good size for tall dogs. My Bordeaux is 9 months old and 110 lbs so he will continue to love it when he is 160 lbs. Unfortunately, I am waiting for a replacement crate as the first one came with half the pieces bent beyond the point of fixing. No instructions so I hope the new one comes with some. This product comes straight from Midwest, not, so blame the delivery company if the pieces are bent. was excellent in getting me a replacement crate, very helpful and very courteous. Rated 4 out of 5 by Good, Strong Crate The wires on this crate are very strong, however some still arrived bent out of shape. We had to use pliers on some of them. The crate is HUGE, and is the perfect size for our Great Dane. Assembly was a nightmare! In my opinion, it would be very difficult to assemble with only one person. Also, it would have been somewhat easier if the instructions weren't so horrible! All in all, it is a nice crate. Be sure to assemble with help, and inside of the room that it will be staying in. With economy shipping, it arrived in 3 days! February 19, 2010

Had a difficult time finding a crate large enough for my full grown Great Dane. This was perfect, not only large enough but comfortable for him to stand in and to turn around in. Not easy to put together, required me plus another but was worth the effort.

What is the purpose of the divider panel?
Patti F on Apr 17, 2014
Best Answer: I did not buy the divider panel but have seen them in crates before. It is so you only need to buy 1 crate for the dogs life time. You can buy the big one and divide it into a smaller crate for when puppy is small ( if you try to crate train a puppy in a crate too large it will have accidents). When puppy grows you can remove panel and have larger crate. Hope that helps.

Does the pan/tray come with it when you buy this or is it extra?
dawn k on May 6, 2015
Best Answer: It is extra, and honestly, I don't think it would have supported our dogs weight so we put plywood on the bottom and then purchased the XXL dog pad to go over it. Worked like a charm.
