Can't Say Enough!, 10/3/2010

The Lookout seat may seem expensive, but it has revolutionized my little Norwich terrier's life. He hated the car; I had to drag him or carry him there before. Now that he can see out, he can't wait to get in. There is plenty of room in the seat for him to move around, sit up or lie down. He gets lots of praise from passers by, too. The Lookout is very safe as it is secured by the seatbelt. I would recommend never letting a dog ride in it without his halter attached, though. Thanks for such a fine product.

We now have 2 of the Lookout II seats that we use in our SUVs. Both our dogs love their seats - they can see us and look out. I have recommended the seats to other friends. I use another fleece cover in the seat to keep the seat cleaner. The drawers come in handy for coats & sweaters!

My chihuahuas love this carseat! I have one of these and also a "My Buddy" size for my 3 little ones. They even sleep in it while it's at home.

If you put a piece of corrigated cardboard cut to the shape of the sides between the cover and the foam, it will stop the side from flopping over. I also found that if you put a puppy pad between the cover and the foam, it keeps the foam clean between washings of the cover. We have two of these seats and our chihuahua's love them!!

Sides not sturdy, 3/24/2008

I do like this doggie car seat but I find that if my dog puts her feet up on the sides that they tend to bend outwards. I have not had the seat for that long so I don't know if this would compromise the integrity of the seat or not.

My peppy 18-lb border terriercorgi constantly wanted to ride up on our laps, craning and agitating to see . . . you know how hazardous that can be if you are the driver and need to move quickly. First time, he loved his high seat, comfy enough to see everything and doze, keeping an eye on us!
