When my daughter comes to visit with her dog, then the two dogs can share this car seat. And there's a place to put dog's stuff separately. That's thoughtful.

About the dimensions, is the 17" long across the front, and 15 or 22" wide the sides? I have a Miata and can't have anything more than 17" across the front.
Bonnie C on Jun 5, 2016
Best Answer: Ours measures 21" across the front and 17" from front to the back of the seat but the 17: doesn't include the back suspport which is probably 3". Our babies love their car seat, one of the babies is very inquisitive and loves to look out the window, the other one just lies down and enjoys the ride. I hope this helps, if you have further questions, I'm happy to help.

We have a snoozer for our 8lb dog and love it. What would work for a convertible with only 2 seats? Does the snoozer come with a sun protector for the pet?
A shopper on Aug 9, 2015
Best Answer: No, it doesn't. The "snoozer" that is the Lookout 2 is too large for an 8# dog. My Miata is a convertible with only 2 seats and the 3 point belt pulled tight holds the Lookout 2 securely. I always use a harness and tether to secure my dog because it is dangerous for both of us. It also allows him to look out the window, put his elbows or paws on the window so his ears can fly.

How is the dog secured in the seat?
A shopper on Nov 25, 2014
Best Answer: It's quite simple really. I set it in my front bucket seat. I pulled the safety belt out to its full length and bring the lap part of the belt across the back of the pet seat through the two slots you can see at the side above. You then plug the metal tongue of the seat belt into the latch, pull the lap part of the belt real tight and release. Tighten the shoulder harness part of the seat belt; it can go behind the back of the dog seat or across the white fur front of the dog seat. It is very secure! BUT before you plug the seat belt into the latch, REMEMBER to slide the seat belt through the tether of the dog seat belt harness you have bought for you pet. You then latch the tether's hook to your dog's seat belt harness. My dog's harness is CPS certified, Center for Pet Safety.

Can I buy a replacement cover for either the Lookout 1 or Lookout 2? I have one of each in small and the fleece is getting worn (my dog likes to scratch to "nest").
Julie on Jan 30, 2016
Best Answer: Snoozer pets carries the replacement covers for them. They have a website.

where is it made?
autumn on Dec 3, 2015
Best Answer: Two years ago, it was made in China BUT Assembled in the USA. The cover comes off easily, washes like a dream, I dry it in the sun. My dog is 35 pounds, stands 19" & is 27" butt to top of head. It holds a mature dog. I use the Kurgo-Enhanced Strength Tru Fit Smart Harness with the car seat. It has heavy duty S.S. buckles & a carbiner I hook him to the seat belt with. That same seat belt is holding the Lookout2 tight to the bucket seat of my Miata.
