We got a few of these and the dogs love the chewiness; they take turns squeaking, competing to make the noises. Loofa dogs have been extremely durable, even when our 20# dogs are playing tug-of-war.

My dog is a power chewer, he can't destroy those cheap toy in a few hours. I bought this toy for him and he played for almost half a year, and it is still in perfect condition, color doesn't even come off!! Great toy!!

My Springer Spaniel like many of the reviews chews the other toys within a short time; the loofa is his absolute favorite; I called it Pitchoo because of the different sounds it makes. I too have had mine for months; this is the ONLY toy he does not tear up and knows distinctly which one I am talking about. I can no longer find in the regular pets stores and am therefore very happy somebody gave me the name and I was able to look it up; please continue to make them!!! Although I find dog toys expensive in the general, this one is well worth $7!!

Our family takes bets on how long any toy can stand up to our Sally's chewing and its usually 15 to 30 minutes. But this toy has lasted about 4 months ... a record for our dog. So much so that I ordered 2 more because they are hard to find at the local pet store.

I have a 6mo alaskan mal and a pug that love to grab ends of toys and see how long it takes to rip them in half. This toy has lasted about 4 months now and there's nothing ripped off of it and they regularly sit there and gnaw on it, very pleased!

This has become my dog's favorite toy (next to her treat ball). She's a chocolate lab that tears through most toys in a matter of hours, regardless of material, but this toy has lasted for months and she can't get enough of it.

I bought the textured loofa for my Norfolk Terrier puppy, who gets bored of his toys quite quickly. He is also a hard chewer, as most puppies.
This toy has a special place in his heart. We call it his "girlfriend" because he takes it everywhere he goes, and plays with it a lot.
The little bumps in the texture seem to be helping with his teething phase. The squeaker is quite attractive to him, apparently more than most of his other toys'.
After two weeks, though, it began to tear in some places and the squeaker is not as sharp.
He still likes it a lot though. I'll probably be getting him another one of these soon.

This toy has lasted nearly a year with my Golden Retriever. No toy makes it 1 week around this house. She chewed off one of the ears immediately but other than that it's been a great toy. I tried a plush version but this is the latex - much much more durable.

This toy lasted all of 15 minutes for my 6 month old lab mix. She chewed the ears off immediately.
I don't know how these other reviewers gave this toy 4 stars!!!

I own a labrador retriever and (as many know) these dogs were born distructive. I've gone through quite a few dog toys and even big name brands that could not stand up the furry plushie killer. The regular loofas lasted only minutes but, they were my dog's favorite. They had her interested at first sight. So, when I saw the latex loofa I figured, why not? The loofa lasted a few months, yay! A definate recommendation for the dog of distruction.

"Pink Puppy" as we call him, is my Miniature Schnauzer's favorite toy. She loves this toy and it has held up longer than anything we've bought her. Have searched long and hard and today finally found a replacement here. 5 STARS!!!

My three little dogs can destroy a regular Loofa in a matter of days! They also work to open it up to pull out the squeaker (doggie scavenger hunt)! The Latex Loofa is unable to be destroyed! They love chewing on it and are not able to remove the squeaker! I am now no longer buying a Loofa a month!

My Boston Terrier, Bug-Z loves this toy! It's the perfect size and the squeek is tolerable. The laytex toys seem to last longer than the plush. I will buy more of these, for sure!
