Labradoodle's FAVORITE Toy!, 7/19/2012

Kris from Portland, OR

This is our Labradoodle's 2nd Hide-a-Squirrel! He got a small one when he was a puppy & now has the Jumbo! He uses his toy as a pillow, a Nuck, & something to gently chew on. He does eventually, get the stuffing out (which he doesn't care about) and still loves it more than anything! He can take the squirrels or leave them. It's their "home" he loves! A definite staple in our home!

Teddy LOVES this!, 7/6/2012

KarenEMT32 from Ewing, NJ

Out of all of the toys my Cardigan Welsh Corgi has, this is one of his top two. It's almost impossible to get him to stop playing with it. Even when the squirrels are out of the tree trunk (I tell him that they are chipmunks because we have live squirrels here but not chipmunks), he still will run around with the tree trunk. It's well made and he's not done any damage to it it in two years, We have the other two types and I hope they make more!

Fun toy, 6/18/2012

Brandy from Heflin, AL

I bought this for my 2 beagle puppies. They of course had this figured out in no time. They really enjoyed finding the squirrels, they LOVE to dig, but since they are avid chewers they had it tore up in a week. Needs to be a little better quality. This toy would be great for dogs who do NOT chew alot~

Dog Loves the Squirrels, 9/16/2011

Kijen Hide a toy squirrel from Bethel PA

Our King Shepherd loves the little squirrels and likes pulling them out of the tree. However, although she is not a chewer and never destroys her soft toys, the interior wall of the "tree" ripped in 4 places as she pulled out the squirrels the first time. Interior fabric is very thin and flimsy. I would suggest this toy only for non or low intensity chewers. That said, the dog loves the toy. We are stuffing the squirrels into the cube toy until I can repair the inside of the tree

fantastic - both dogs adore it!, 7/14/2011

tracy from nj from flemington, nj

my dogs have realized that this is just not a trunk full of fun toys, that this is a toy full of fun toys! they love playing with the tree trunk itself, just as much as they do finding & throwing the squirrels up in the air in pure jubilation. however it leads to many questions asked by myself, starting with 'zoe how did your tree trunk get in.... (the laundry basket, the toilet, the middle of the driveway, etc) we love our squirrely tree!

Favorite Toy, 10/10/2009

Amanda from Wilmington, DE

We got this toy for our new french bulldog puppy, and she absolutely loves it! This is the only toy she will play with independantly, and she loves the squirrels on their own, even without the tree stump.

Great =], 8/30/2009

Myndi from WV

I ordered this for my puppy and she immediately took to it. When it got to my house, I put it on the floor while unpacking the rest of the goodies, and she immediately started playing with it and taking the squirrels out! She loves it already

Hide - a - Squirrel, 2/25/2009

Edie Canales from Marietta GA

Bought two of these for my 8 pound toy poodle and my daughters two 3 pound yorkies. Huge hit with all 3 dogs. My poodle has managed to get the stuffing out of one squirrel and chew off the other's ears. The yorkies have done no damage to the animals. My dog did also somehow manage to pull out the plastic disc in the bottom of the house and chew it up. I am buying replacement squirrels, because she loves to find her squirrels and she knows where to find them, when I tell her , "go get your squirrels".

Entertainment for both dog and owner!, 10/23/2008

Mary from London, Ohio

My mini schnauzers love this toy! My daughter's great dane loved it so much I had to hide it from him. But I have since bought another one for him. This comes in three different sizes and you can get replacement critters. Well worth the money.

My dog loves this, 4/27/2008

Tonia D. from Naples, FL

I have a blind Lhasa and bought him this. It has been his favorite toy in his 11 years. He is pretty rough and the squeakers have died, but he stills carries those darn squirrels around. I have hidden other squeakies in it and it will do, but he loves those squirrels. Glad to see replacements.

The Best By Far!, 9/9/2007

Kimberly from Brenham, TX

My Bischon loves this toy. I have bought 6 in her short 1 12 years of life! This is by far her favorite toy. To keep her occupied when I am tired I place as many toys as I can in the squirrel house and watch her try to get them all out and spread them on the floor! My pet store doesnt carry this any more so I am so happy to find them at dog.com! One warning: be careful at night-I have often mistaken them for a live mouse!

Great idea!, 7/25/2007

Bridget from San Jose, CA

This is a great interactive toy for any dog. The only problem is that the squeakers inside the little squirrels are quiet and dont make much noise. Other than that this toy is well made and keeps your dog busy while youre gone.

My Dogs LOVE this toy!!, 7/8/2007

Catherine from Humble, TX

My female golden retriever loves this toy so much that she played with the 3 originals so much that they finally fell apart for about a year, and she didnt tear them apart. I got her some replacement squirrels and boy was she so happy! She loves getting the squirrels out of the squirrel tree and then grooming them!! Dont ask me why, but she loves to groom them and play w them! I also have a 4 month old Blue Heeler puppy and she loves these squirrels, too. Its the only stuffed toy that she hasnt torn up. I used to have a Rottweiler sadly she has passed on that I had the hardest time finding a toy she would like for - she saw this and just played and played. She loved taking the squirrels out of the tree and throwing them in the air, chasing, and catching them. It was so funny. All of the dogs that I have presented this toy absolutely love it. I highly recommend it!!

Hide-A-Toy Squirrel, 6/24/2007

Virginia from California

I have an 18 pound dachshund-Chichuahua cross and he completely destroyed almost every aspect of this toy within the first day of receiving it. So I cannot say that this product is very durable. However, I must admit that he really enjoyed trying to get the squirrels out from the trunk-like case while it was still intact.

LOVES it., 5/24/2007

Annie from La Jolla, CA

My corgi puppy adores this toy!!! He yanks out the squirrels and then throws em up so he can grab them again. Hell even play fetch with them and let me tell you, nothing is cuter than watching a little puppy frolicking towards you with a little fluff hanging out of his smiling mouth. He adores the squirrels AND the stump. Hes had it for a month now and has yet to even DENT these guys! Except for the little fact that he has managed to remove the hair from the squirrels heads.

Ripped in 60 seconds!, 2/6/2007

Krista from Florida

On the positive side, my 22-lb terrier mix was VERY interested in this toy right out of the box. He quickly figured out how to remove the tiny squirrels and was happy to chew away on the stump. Within 1-2 minutes, however, he had ripped the stump and made the two squirrel holes into one. This was the Junior size, which seems too small for my dog -- more appropriate for a toy breed. I might try the bigger size, which I hope is more durable.

Great Interactive Toy!, 12/3/2006

Kristyn from Green Bay, WI

My 8 month old Airedale has had this toy since he was a 2 month old puppy, and he absolutely loves it. He has fun digging the squirrels out, and even when they are out, he will carry them around carefully in his mouth making them squeak for quite awhile. He is a very powerful chewer, and can destroy the red kongs in a day, but he is very gentle with his squirrels and the stump. I was also able to find and buy extra squirrels for the toy, but he still has the original ones as well.

Fantastic Toy!!, 9/17/2006

Catherine from Houston, TX

My Golden Retriever absolutely adores this toy! Lately, it's the only thing she'll play with. She gets the squirrels out of the little tree, then she grooms them and carries them around everywhere she goes. She even sleeps with them! I can't even pet her without her sitting there with one of the little squirrels she "found" in her mouth!! My dog gives it 2 paws up!! She LOVES it!! :) Great toy!!

Chris White from Vacaville, CA

I have a male Black Lab and a female Golden Retriever, and they both love these toys! We have all three. . . the Squirrel, Bee, and Bird. I have told all my dog loving friends about them, and buy them as gifts for friends and family.

my 4 mo chow/collie mix ADORED this toy for the 24 hours it took him to chew through the stump that houses the squirrels. the squirrels themselves last another 2 days altogether. in contrast we got a similar toy with these squeaky "egg" balls that go in the tummy. he enjoys this just as much and has not been able to destroy it.

My Setter mix loves this toy. He carries it around in his mouth and pulls one squirrel out at a time to play with. When all three are out he looks for me to put them back in so he can do it again. It keeps him occupied for a while and it's so cute too. It would be great to have some extra squirrels for the ineveitable day the sqeaker goes or the day my lab gets it and does a "squeekectomy".
