A canine favorite, reinvented! This new KONG is full of innovative features, such as bite-zones, which provide outstanding comfort with incredible safety. I bought this for my 4 month old lab/pointer mix and he very quickly chewed right through the black rubber on the end. The packaging does say that dogs shouldn't be allowed to chew on it, but I didn't know that when I bought it. I figured it was a KONG toy and they are designed for chewing. NOPE, not this one!

We have two large retrievers that like to play tug with eachother. This toy lasted about a month before our Chesapeake Bay chewed it into 3 pieces. So far the "Kong" brand hasn't impressed me--typically expensive and doesn't hold up with heavy chewers. Several other Kong toys have not either.

My dog was not in the least bit interested in this. I imagine it is durable and would hold up well but I can't get him to play with it.

You must supervise while in play. I have four chocolate Labs who like to play tug amongst each other. I don't leave it out, as they will chew and destroy it. After two 15-minute play sessions, it's still intact. Another good Kong interactive tug, toss and squeak toy is the nylon Kong Wubba, which is more durable.

Got this for our Lab puppy (7 mths - 53 lbs). He loves to tug but didn't like biting on the black rubber part, preferred to bite the red portion.
It didn't matter - he broke it in 15 minutes (with supervised use).
Not expecting this from a KONG. We paid extra anticipating the same reliable and rugged KONG experience we have had on other products.
Don't bother.
