Our very first jolly squirrel has lasted longer than every subsequent one purchased. For whatever reason that one was impossible for her to chew the nose off of. But every one since then has lost it's squeaker then it's nose, but she still tries her very best to kill them. Lucy is a dachshund and she got her first one while she was still a baby (8 months), we've had 4 total. I love that they are hard and can be really chewed on, it has saved many pieces of furniture since we started using them. Because, she prefers to chew on them.

My very chewy Lab has had one of these Raccoons for over a year and a half. I love this toy. Yes, the squeaker came out in a day, but that's okay because the toy is so much better without it. And the nose did get chewed off quite quickly, also okay because that's the only damage this toy has sustained. After a year and a half of daily chewing, tugging, rough housing, and throwing in all kinds of hot summer weather, pouring rain, and icy New England winters, I have declared this toy the ultimate survivor. Nothing else lasts with my dog... except this toy. I HIGHLY recommend this toy. It smells wonderful... don't let a little damage like a gnawed-off nose get you down, it's still VERY useful even without a nose. (Just limit exposure if the dog is constantly chewing to enlarge the hole or condition your dog not to exhibit unwanted behaviors on this toy... neither are very difficult. :])

Although my shitzu/terrier mix loved the toy, he chewed the nose off after a few days play. Didn't last as long as I had hoped for a "tough toy."

This is our 4th Jolly Pet racoon. Our Chocolate Lab loves it! The first thing to go is the squeaker .. it normally takes less that a day to end up inside the racoon's belly.
It's pliable enough where it doesn't hurt him when I throw it and he catches it.

My dog Abby loves this toy. Shepphard/Collie Mix.. She is older and is able to pick up the toy by the tail/handle to bring it to me. Yes, the nose is a weak point but they are totally useful without the nose. I have to keep buying these as even my neighbor dogs like them. They always end up in someone else's yard. I now put Abby's name on them...They even out lasted our Ohio winters. Tough as nails. Highly Recommend.

Oh My Gosh ! ! ! These are the best, Toughest toys that I have ever bought. The dogs cannot destroy them and they even made it thru our Ohio Winters...VERY HIGHLY Recommend.

Well the squeaker broke it got popped into the toy which I guess is better than out of the toy and my dog still loves it mostly she just carries it around and curls up with it when she sleeps

The 'nose' on these toys are the weak point. Jolly balls last forever through all puncture points but these noses easily tear making the toy no longer squeak and giving and area to chew and destroy from. I recommend the ball over these for durability. However, if your dog isn't as crazy as my pit, it might last you longer than 5 minutes. Still made of the great jolly ball material - just wish it didn't have a nose!She LOVED is regardless.

MY GERMAN SHEPERD GOT THE SQUEAKER OUT WITHIN FIVE MINUTES OF GETTING THE TOY. WE'VE HAD IT FOR A MONTH NOW AND IT HAS BITE MARKS AND TINY HOLES ALL AROUND IT. BUT HE LOVES IT!

I was very disappointed in this toy. I bought the large Jolly Critter and had just gotten it out of the box, set it on the floor, turned my back to continue unpacking the rest of my merchandise and my 6 month old Lab puppy chewed off the nose by the time I turned around again. I really like their other products: the Jolly Squirrels and the Jolly Squirrels with rope, but they are made of a much tougher material.

This is one of the few toys that have lasted more than a week without my dog tearing it apart completely. He plays with this toy even though it is half gone. He just loves it.

My German ShepherdHuskey mix loves this toy. He popped the squeaker out right away, but goes for this toy over others a lot. He doesnt go for most plastic type toys, but this one was a hit. We started with the chipmunk, then got him the raccoon. I think he likes the vanilla scent.

I was surprised at how my boxer to this toy. It was one of 4 or 5 new toys he got for his birthday and it became his new favorite out of all of his toys both new and old. My only complaint is that it could be a little more durable, but its outlasted other toys, so Ill just buy 3 or so at a time and keep them on hand because he likes it so much.

My 2 dogs loved the squirrel but the squeaker was broken within an hour of them stealing it away from each other. The handle was chewed off after a couple of days.

Our Catahoula puppy had the heads ripped off of two - TWO!!! of these within 10 minutes of their delivery. It took us longer to open the dog.com box! The Danes enjoyed using the handle to throw the toy, or at least what was left of it after its initial introduction to the crew.
