Product Summary:
Innova Large Breed Dry Puppy Food
Large breed puppies differ from small breed puppies in several ways: size, growth rate, skeletal development, just to name a few. In turn, they require a different dietary approach than small breed puppies. Innova Large Breed Puppy Food is specially formulated to support proper growth without allowing the large breed puppy to grow too quickly.

A balanced blend of fatty acids from ingredients like chicken fat, flaxseed meal, herring oil and sunflower oil are added to provide appropriate levels of important fatty acids specific to the needs of the large breed's demanding skin and coat. Whole grains and fresh vegetables round-out the ingredients used to bring nutritional balance to Innova Large Breed Puppy Food and good health to your large or giant puppy.

  • Same Innova "Fresh-From-The-Five-Food-Group" blend of ingredients
  • Specifically formulated for the Large and Giant Puppy
  • Precisely controlled levels of calcium to phosphorus
  • Appropriate ratio of Protein to Fat
  • Omega 3 Fatty Acids from both Fish Oil and Flaxseed
  • Added Naturally Occurring Microorganisms
  • So Complete and Balanced that supplementation is discouraged
  • For Large Breed Puppies from 8 weeks to 2 years old

    Excellent Dog Food, 11/14/2011

    Silent Crow from Jackson, MI

My Saint Bernard, Willy, loves this food and i love it too. It's got something going for it that a few other large breed puppy foods don't, and that's the fact that this food encourages slow growth with controlled calories, protein, phosphorus and calcium, which is essential to maintaining the skeletal health of any giant breed dog (or large breed dog). Willy also likes the fact it digests nicely and tastes good. Also the packaging, which is a very minor thing, suggests that you can give it to giant breed dogs as well as large breed dogs. Unfortunately, on most large breed dog food bags you see golden retrievers or german shepherds, which do have somewhat different health requirements than say a Great Dane or Saint Bernard and often times the foods with the "large" dogs on the bags don't have the nutrional quality that is required by a "giant" breed dog. So, though it is minor, the Saint on the front of the bag calls out to Giant Breed puppy owners and the food does not disappoint. The only down sides to this food are the bag size, which at 33lbs doesn't go very far and the high price for 33lbs of food. But it is worth it in the end if the dog will come out healthy.

    Great Dog Food, 7/6/2010

    Jim DeFoe from

I did a lot of research on what to feed my German Shepard when I got him at 5 weeks old. I decided on Innova Large Breed Puppy food and you should see him at 9 months now. He loves the food, never gets tired of it. He now weighs 110 lbs with no fat on him. I could not get it locally at first, but finally found a horse supply place here in town that would stock it for me. I will be replacing it with the large breed adult food when he gets a year old, I would recommend Innova to any one. It is a little higher priced, but the dogs eat less with Inovva than other cheaper dog food.

    Happy dog owner, 3/23/2010

    Vickie from

I have been feeding my puppy this food since he was 7 weeks old and now he is 5 months old. He loves the food and so does my Corgi. My Corgi was very fussy about what she liked but as soon as she tasted Innova, she gobbled it all up. Both dogs have beautiful coats and my Shepherd is very strong from this product. I am happy,

    High quality dog food, 2/2/2009

    Denise from Ashland, OH

We have been feeding our 7 month Rottweiler Innova Large Breed Puppy since we first brought her home. She likes the taste of the food, and we like that she is getting quality nutrition from it. I did a lot of research months before we brought our baby home and found the Innova products to be of high quality and one that so many other dog owners recommended. The price of Innova is higher than many other dog foods, but we have peace of mind knowing that the food we are feeding her is safe no parts of other animals and nutritionally sound. I encourage all dog owners to do their own research on Innova. You too will find it A high quality Dog Food.

The best food for mans best friend, 11/11/2007

    Justin from Hermitage, TN

I will try keep this review short and to the point and NO, Im not a Natura employee, I just believe in their products and business philosophy 110. Innova dog food is simply the BEST dog food money can buy. Natura, the company that makes Innova and other holistic dog food products, manufactures their products in THEIR OWN facilities with TOP QUALITY, human-grade products the same stuff you would buy at the grocery store to feed your family. InnovaNatura was NOT involved in the pet food recalls and performs a 121-point inspection on EVERY BATCH of their food before it is shipped out. Yes, Innova is more expensive, but in my opinion, its also the best. Id rather pay for safety and quality. It is nutritionally complete from A-Z. My yellow labrador retriever puppy has been on Innova Large Breed Puppy since I brought him home, and I have gotten rave reviews on how shiny and soft is coat is. If you love your dog like a real member of the family, please....spend the extra money for a quality, holistic food like Innova and give himher the best nutrition they deserve! Hope this review helps you decide.
