New and Improved: "The Original Smart Treat!" The best has gotten even better! The new, improved Greenies formula features: Increased Digestibility ... the new chew is 96% digestible, which is higher than the average dry dog foods rate of 80-85%.Custom Chewiness... studying different breeds of dogs to determine how they chew resulted in 5 different sized chews, each with a different chewy texture, to suit all dogs.Scientific Shape ... the same studies created a chew that has a softer texture, more rounded edges and natural break points for more thorough, enjoyable chewing. Added Vitamins and Minerals ... for a nutritionally complete chew. Greenies are proven to remove plaque and tartar, even heavy deposits, reducing gingivitis, freshening breath and improving your dogs overall oral health by helping to fight off dental disease. In fact, Greenies was the first treat to receive the Veterinary Oral Health Council (VOHC) Seal of Acceptance for both plaque and tartar removal. Independent studies showed feeding one nutritious Greenies per day resulted in a: 62% reduction in tartar (calculus) 14% decrease in plaque formation 77% reduction in dental stain formation 31% reduction in bad breath Treat your dog right with Greenies Treat-Pak! Greenies Feeding Directions: Greenies are recommended for dogs over six (6) months of age and over five (5) pounds. Feed the correct size Greenies for your dogs weight, one time daily. Greenies are not intended to replace a proper diet, and therefore should not exceed 25% of your dogs daily intake. A greenish color in the dogs stool is a normal and harmless result of consuming chlorophyll. As with any treat, always offer water after feeding. If obesity is a concern, reduce food intake. If you have any questions, call 1-866-GREENIES (1-866-473-3643) or email info@greenies.com. Caution: As with any edible product, monitor your dog to ensure the treat is adequately chewed. Gulping any item can be harmful or even fatal to a dog. I agree with every one else. I got a free sample of the new Greenies treat and my dog ate it in less than 1min. If she eats them that fast there is not really a point in buying them. She likes the Nylabone Edibles better, and their cheaper. I will not buy anymore Greenies unless they change the formula back to the old stuff.

The old greenies were terrific, but my dog has been suffering from diarrhea since we got the new formula. He still loves the greenies and begs for them after dinner, but they make him really sick, extreme gas and watery stool. I ordered a 6 month supply and will be checking in to returning them. Wish I had figured out what was causing the problem sooner...poor pooch has had a terrible time.

We always bought Greenies because they were vegan. Now with animal products in them, we quit. Please bring back the old ones.

The old formulation of Greenies gave my dog gas and diarrhea, so I stopped giving him Greenies. This new formulation doesnt have that problem, but he does chew through the new ones three times faster than the old ones. But I definitely prefer for him not to have digestive issues every time he eats a Greenie.

agree with the previous reviewers a big plus with the old formula was that my dog got to chew something for a good while. But I have noticed one more thing...these are so digestable, they cause a bowel movement within 20 minutes of eating one. Had a few carpet cleanups to do because of that, and my dog never has indoor accidents, ordinarily she is very regular. I will not be feeding her these from now on...I dont see the point.
