Looking for a way to keep my collie cool in the car. I like the idea of no cords

My rotty is always laying on the tile. I wanted to get this so he would stay cool even when he's laying on carpet.
Alessia C on Aug 15, 2015

Is the bed water resistant?
heather v on Dec 26, 2014
Best Answer: r
Hi Heather, I would say yes even though my dog Irwin never wet it. He drolls sometimes during his sleep, does no harm to mat because the covering is made og tough plastic. It is easily cleaned with damp cloth.
It should be fine.

Is this chew proof? I have a 3 month old Malamute that needs the cooling, but is a teether!
Adoni B on Mar 1, 2015
Best Answer: I got one for my mini goldendoodle puppy when he was about 4 or 5 months old last spring and he was a pretty big chewer. He was able to detach the border fabric from the mat in some areas, but was never able to damage/put holes in the mat itself (but believe me, he tried). He never got the border completely off, so after months, I just cut those pieces off and the mat is still decent and functional. I'm actually now using it for our new puppy who is now 13 weeks old and she also chews on it, but hasn't been able to do any damage. She hasn't even been able to detach any more of the border. But they both seem to love sleeping on it. I actually just ordered another one, so they can each have their own.

My sister in Fla. Has two bichons. The males will get hots spots or chew on himself. Do you think could help?
A shopper on May 30, 2015
Best Answer: Hot spots have absolutely nothing to do with being hot. It's a word used for a sore. The two reasons for a hot spot are usually allergies or the dog chewing on themselves out of boredom or because they itch. Get them to a vet and then if necessary to a dog trainer. The trainer is usually for the owner not the dog. These hot spots are handleable as long as you find the cause.
