I never would purchase expensive dog treats before. These were recommended by a trainer in an obedience class I am in currently, and my 4-1/2 year old male German Shepherd who hardly cares for treats LOVES these. His obedience has increased dramatically since I started using these. Now I train all my dogs almost daily with these.

Pooch passions has changed the beef liver to a hard as a brick formula, can barely cut it with a steak knife, would not chance my dog's teeth to breakage! I hope they do not do this same terrible process to the chicken liver treats which are still wonderful. I hope they change the beef back to the light, airy, edible cube style.

These treats are a "new" formula...very hard...have to use a knife to break apart. Not a "premium" reward treat anymore.

Please note that these are "formed" cubes of processed liver that turn to powder when broken or pressed -- they are the Chicken McNuggets of liver treats. They are too big to be used for training, but can not be cut or broken into smaller sizes. I've used Gimborn liver treats in the past for agility and obeidience work, but bought this brand (same price)because the Gimborn was out of stock. Dogs will like the flavor, but they are useless for their intended purpose. One hour of training with these, and your dog will be overdosed, and your wallet will be emptied.

Treats are too large for training, break into small crumbs like a cookie, not good as the freeze dried ones that are more solid and blocky.

We used to get freeze dried liver snacks from one of the National Pet Store chains but they become dust instantly, these pretty much stay together. My 3 60+lb dogs love them and at all the events we attend I rarely find another dog that doesn't love them too.

My pomeranian loves these treats and refuses to share. She automatically sits and stays if i go anywhere near these, in hopes i will give her one. I highly recommend these. F.Y.I-these cubes are a bit on the large side but can be broken into smaller proportions for training.

the treats are quarter size cubes that break into crubs, too big for small treats for obedience training, makes a mess in pockets etc.

Our standard poodle comes running for these! They are great for training purposes and he loves to have one sprinkled into his food. They are very easy to crush with your fingers.

Dont feed your dogs all that pressed and artificial stuff. These are soo much better for them, low in fat, and even the pickiest dogs love them cats like them too!

Our dog is not particularly food-oriented so its difficult to find a yummy, healthy treat as a reward during training. She loves these and even a few crumbled into her regular dog food will spike her appetite. These are the best!
