Why did you choose this?
I would like to ask anyone that has bought this crate the biggest dog they used it for? I know it says 90 lbs. but has anyone exceeded that limit? I have Newfoundlands. Thanks, Kim
Best Answer: Don't bother. You need a crate that has floor to ceiling windows on all 4 sides. Although very sturdy, this crate is way too confining for a Newfie.
I need to replace the covering for the frame of NoztoNoz sof-crate 2 - where do I find replacement coverings for these crates so I can order?
Hi - Does this crate have tabs to allow tie down when traveling? Thanks.
Best Answer: This would not be my first choice for a crate to use when traveling. I use it while set up at dog shows and training facilities, and love it for this purpose. In an accident, it would offer little to no protection for your dog. I just purchased a Variocage for the car. Variocage is the only dog crate subjected to independent crash testing.
Does this crate have mesh windows on all four sides?
Best Answer: Yes, I no longer have the crate because my Shar-Pei puppies have outgrown it, but if I remember correctly, the front door is mesh with a zipper, and the two sides are mesh windows. The Windows also have a zipper, and if opened, the mesh can be rolled up and held in place with an attached Velcro tab. The back of the crate is another door, I think .. but it may be a window. Either way, there is a mesh area with zipper.
I loved this crate because all 4 sides could be open/closed. If you have a "strong" breed or hyperactive pet, they will be able to break out - keep this in mind!
My dog has separation anxiety and scratches at her cage when left alone. I am looking for something that will not harm her paws by scratching at it while I am away. Do you think this cage will be better for her paws yet durable enough that she won't ruin it or tip it over?
Best Answer: No soft crate will stand up to a dog with separation anxiety. Work with an animal behaviorist to address the problem.
Is this good to travel in plane?
Best Answer: As cargo, absolutely not. You need an airline-approved hard crate for that. For a small dog and to fly under the seat accompanied by a human passenger - perhaps and only if the dog is well-behaved and will not attempt to scratch or bite through the mesh panels. However, check the airline's policy on acceptable carry-on dog kennels. Many accept soft cariers.
Could this crate be used for two pug puppies ?
Best Answer: Only good for puppies 10 weeks and under. And that is because their teeth are sharp enough yet. And not good for small breed hyper dogs. They will chew the mesh windows out. I own a pet transporting company. And my customers love these soft crates. And I have lost many, many crates to these chewers.
How much does the 42" crate weigh?
Best Answer: Less than 20 pounds! The crate is very light weight which makes it great for travel! For me, it was a great investment, light weight , easy to put up and easy to store!
I am having an extremely hard time with the couplers on both sides of the crate . Difficulty both setting it up and collapsing it. My husband has difficulty with it too . Seems like the red button won't depress all of the way to allow the sleeve to move. Any way to adjust this ?
Best Answer: Make sure that the "hole" is centered over the red button so it isn't putting pressure on the side of the button when you are trying to depress it. The button and the sliding mechanism on mine were extremely stiff and hard to move on mine when it was new. A year later, everything is much easier to move. (To the extent that I wouldn't want it any more loose at this point.) I have three of these crates in a smaller size and I use them only for travel, so mine get taken up and down. If someone left it up as an at-home-crate, it might not loosen up as much. There are some good videos on setting up this crate. Go to YouTube and search for "Noz2Noz crate". Hope this helps.
Has anyone found this crate to have an excessive petroleum or plastic smell that they can't get rid of? Reviews on some sites have panned this crate for the lingering "chemical" oder that seem to be very strong.
Best Answer: There was absolutely no odor when we opened this crate. There still in not an odor, one week later.
Can someone please tell me the dimensions when the largest crate size (XL - 42"x28"x31") is collapsed/folded down? Thank you!
Best Answer: We have this crate in a different size, 30 X 22, not sure I think it might be a medium size. The important part is that when it is folded down it measures only 5" tall. This size fit perfectly into the trunk of our Ford Mustang for extensive travel last year. It was very easy to collapse every time we moved on to a different hotel, town etc. It is now stored in a closet and takes up so little room that I forgot about it. Will being using it again this summer, it keeps our 22 pound Cockapoo safe when we leave him alone in a hotel room. We don't have to worry about housekeeping accidently letting him out of the room when we are out and about. Hope this helps, overall this is a great product and is holding up very well.
Will this crate hold my Newfoundland?
Best Answer: No! Too confining for them. They need floor to ceiling windows or a wire crate. If traveling, they do best in a seat belt.
What crate should I buy for a 15 lb dog?
Best Answer: Hello, maybe the 26 inch in the Sof-krate.
Looking for frame for sof-krate N2N. WE HAVE COVER BUT NO FRAME. Do you have the frame to purchase?
Best Answer: Unfortunately we do not. You might want to contact the manufacturer.
