I have used this product on a 115lbs mastiff mix and a 26lbs terrier mix and it works well on both. It can be a little confusing to get on, and if the dog is wiggly be prepared for a bit of a struggle, but it works great so it is worth it.

I recently adopted a 6 month old pitbull mix from my local shelter. He was (and is) super strong for still being a puppy and had zero leash manners. Initially, I was going to purchase the Gentle Lead, but I didn't like how it looked like muzzle - especially to other people who wouldn't understand it's purpose. After about 6 or 7 walks with Easy Walk, my dog heels like a champ. Granted, I had to throw some treats his way at first to reinforce his great work, but now he can walk all over the neighborhood right next to me without being rewarded. One point of advice, though - do not ask your pup to jump into your vehicle or run with this on. It's made for walking only.

I cannot believe how great this product is. I am a big man with a large Labrador/Greyhound mix. This dog is very strong and hard enough for me to control much less my wife. Every time my dog would pull on the leash attempting to run after a bird or a squirrel it would hurt my elbow. After I put the Easy Walk harness on my dog I cannot believe how easy it is to control her. Thank you Easy Walk I have bought another one just in case.

Our chocolate lab is extremely strong. Traditional methods of training with the choke collar left my shoulder aching and walking was no fun. We tried the electronic collar and I love it and still use it for long distance off leash control. But on walks this is the ticket! What a difference it made for us!! Can't say enough good things.

I purchased two of these for my young dogs. One pulls and is somewhat corrected the pulling but the straps never stay in place. They loosen while on the walk and the harness then does not work as it should. They have also stared to come apart and we have only had them a few months. I would never buy this product again. I also contacted to manufacturer to see if I receive defective ones and they told me that I needed to learn how to use it properly.

This is good for mild pullers. I had the Gentle Leader head collar for my dog and she refused to walk. We got her this and it works amazingly. She still hates wearing it because it gives us more control and she drag us everywhere!

and if it's causing rashes and rubbing the skin raw on your dog, it's probably too tight. My dog just chewed through hers after managing to pull it through her kennel while I was at school, so I'm in the market for a new one, unfortunately. Getting it from a pet store isn't an option, because they're around $30 there. I tried regular harnesses, my dog pulled and made hikes hell for me. I tried the face harness, she hated it and I wasn't too fond if it myself. Finally got this and it's wonderful. Had been using it successfully for about six months until the buckle was chewed today. Highly recommended.

This harness is the best! My husband I learned the hard way. We just got back from a weekend away with our 5 month old Cane corso/blue nose pit mix. I thought his Easywalk was getting a bit tight, (5 months and 60 lbs of muscle) so I bought him the next size. Long story short, it wasn't until we were on our way I realized it was too big. I stopped at a local pet shop where we were to pick another one up, but I had to get a regular harness. Let's just say, we learned the EASY WALK does work. IT stops them from having the control. My husband and I will make sure we have it next time we go away, for sure! I definitely recommend it, but you have to make sure it fits your dog correctly or it won't work!

I bought this for my 10 lb chihuahua mix. Best money I've ever spent. She used to pull like a sled dog. She no longer pulls when walking and is much calmer on lead.

I bought this harness to attach to our bike attachement. I didn't want to use a coller for obvious reasons but I was hesitant about a real harness because I was afraid she could pull me off the bike. However, it rubbed so hard that after a ride she started limping and got a rash under one arm. This may work for walking but if your dog is running, do not use it.

My dog was a good walker until she sees a squirrel or cat then she'll pull and it made it hard to pull her back. The easy walk made a world of difference as far as her " heeling" but she developed A bad rash under her armpits and even now she still has a tendency to pull on easy walk when other dogs are near by . I'm no longer using it and am looking for something less harsh on the belly and chest area for her.

If you think about using this harness with a Husky forget about it. The pulling subsided at first and then after a short period of time it was back to about 90% strength. I suppose if you have a little dog like a terrier, poodle or other punt dogs it'll work find but for dogs above 45 pounds nope. None of the adjustments hold. Really just very disappointed overall with this product.

Our young lab was awful to walk as would pull and not stay with me and our other dog. But with Easy Walk walking is a pleasant trip. More so, the Lab likes the feel of the harness.

I bought this for my dog who pulls too hard on a leash. It was a miracle for us. She had to get used to it since she does not enjoy the fact it gently forces her to comply with my guidance on our walks.
It is a bit tricky to figure out how to put on. Just remember 2 simple rules.
1. The ring for the leash goes in the front of the chest,
2. The gray strap snaps under the belly behind the front legs.
Just position it this way and put it over the dogs head like you would a shirt... and presto it's in position. Once you get this right the fitting and putting it on and off are a cinch.
Best of all, the collar can stay on. The Easy Walk Harness is not designed to leave on the dog :)

We bought this under the direction of our trainer.... my dog pulled constantly. Now, there is no pulling, no coughing from pulling and our walks are so enjoyable. One note though - if your dog rolls over on your walk - be careful... the harness has come off my dog twice when he rolled over for a belly rub while on a walk. I know - why was he wanting a belly rub on a walk - but sometimes it happens. I love this harness. My dog is a 48 pound mixed breed shelter dog who fits the M/L size nicely.

This harness is very well made and a good concept, but our 30 lb puggle is too small for it. It often ends up between his 2 front legs and he has slipped out of it from this angle. Its also kind of a pain since its either on his left or right side, and we constantly have to flip it around his head depending on what side he's walking on. I do think that it is wonderful for larger dogs though. The hardware and nylon are strong and very durable.

I have a young Jack Russel Terrier, He is as full of energy as is rumored. He has chewed threw 3 leashes, and 2 other harnesses. Was not a fun walking partner. I purchased this for Pork Chop, thats his name, for xmas and within in the first 100 yard of going on our first walk with this harness he was no longer pulling and fighting, rather he stayed within easy control of his lead, and there was no pulling, NONE! ZERO! ZILCH! NADA! I was amazed...
I think its a bit pricey but i find it worth it. I would definitely recommend this product for anyone that has a dog that is hard to control when walking!

We have owned both the gentle leader head collar and the easy walker harness. The gentle leader works great for our 100 lb. Golden, but our 60 lb. Lab would scrap her nose against the sidewalk until it would bleed trying to get it off---so we tried the harness on her and it made walks enjoyable again (and I was a huge advocate for the harness recommending it to everyone) until I started seeing signs of bruising and hairloss along her belly and arm straps (even with it properly adjusted). I've stopped using this and will be buying an electric collar soon. Maybe you'll have better luck with your dog.

The harness did inhibit pulling in my pit bull terrier mix, but after a week of use, my dog broke out in a rash, or hives (red bumps and loss of hair) at and around the whole harness area. It took a few weeks for the redness and bumps to go away. It might be the way it rubs or the material.

We recently bought of the harnesses for our rescued boxer who would pull until his eyes were popping out of his head and he was choking himself! It has helped tremendously and it is SO simple to put on and off. He still likes to go as far as his leash will let him, but no farther. It has stopped him drastically from dragging me around the neighborhood. Its nice to have people stop and compliment you on your well behaved dog when the only secret is the harness!

I use the Easy Walk harness on shelter dogs of all sizes (even dogs that weigh far more than I do). For added control I make sure that the chest strap rides lower than the manufacturer's recommendation. To say that I can gain quick control of a kennel-crazy shelter dog who may only get walked once a week says a lot about this product.
You can wean your dog away from this if you prefer your dog to wear just a collar on your walk. After you have had many walks with harness, have praised and treated him for not having tension on the leash, start putting both harness and collar on. Attach a leash to each. Hold collar leash a little shorter than harness leash. When dog puts tension on collar leash, give harness leash a little pull. Soon dog learns that collar leash tension will precede harness leash pull. Don't forget praise and rewards.
Start walking with leash attached to collar only but harness still on dog. In sticky, distracting areas, move leash to harness and when dog quiets down, move it back to collar.
The next weaning step would be to walk dog on collar and carry the harness with you and put on the dog only in highly distracting areas.
Their are many quality dogs, including purebreds, in shelters across the country. Consider adoption as your first option when you want to acquire a dog.

I have a boxer and a pit and both pull with regular collars and top hook harnesses. This harness is easy to put on and is easy on their short necks. No more trachial bruising and very easy to handle them. I recommend this product to any dog who can not wear the muzzle gentle leaders.

I was a little skeptical because I have a 75-pound pit bull who is very strong, but the harness worked perfectly. It worked the first time we went walking. In fact, it made it seem like my 13-year-old beagle was the one doing the pulling on this walk. Great purchase.

I have tried this harness on many of my clients dogs as well as my own. I am amazed at how well it works instantly regardless of the skill level of the handler. I am also impressed by the fact that it significantly calms the hyper dogs as well. A truly revolutionary product.

We tried every type of leash and harness to get our quickly growing Swissy to stop pulling us down the street on our walks and nothing worked until we got the EZ walk harness. He quickly learned that pulling only prevented him from going where he wanted to go, and all without the discomfort of a tightening neck collar. We will never use any other type of collarleash system again!

I have a 4.5 year old chocolate lab that has always pulled on the leach. I have tried every collar on the market none have worked till I tried this one from the first time he wore it pulling has completely stopped. Im impressed. The dogs dont want to pull at all while they have it on. Walking is now a joy.

I have tried EVERYTHING to get my dogs to walk next to me and not pull - including Martingale type collars and others - to no avail. Even tried the Gentle Leader head collar, which can work but takes longer and some dogs really fight it. The very first time I tried this harness, it worked like a dream and I have a VERY strong pulling dog, with his sister being a close second. The two of them together made walking a very unpleasant experience and caused many sore shoulders. I believe strongly that walking with your dogs is important in being able to bond with them and contributes greatly to behavioral training as well. This product is wonderful and I highly recommend it. Be sure to measure your dog before you purchase as a good fit is essential.

My 4 month old Black Lab Blaze, was a puller. To the point of hacking and gagging, etc. I had him in puppy kindergarten and he was terrible with trying to get to the other puppies. The instructor suggested trying the EZ Walk Harness and what a differance this product made!!! I paid $30 at a pet store, so this price is wonderful! Blaze is rapidly growing, so I need to get the next bigger size. Now I can walk him several times daily and let him release his energy. I have total control over him. I would recommend this product to everyone!!! It truly is a god-send!

My JRT loves to pull, he walks great with this harness, the only problem i have had is that he gets chaffed under his arms...but not painful for him, just have to place something under it when we take him for longer walks.

This harness has allowed me to walk my two large dogs by myself, for the first time in 3 years. My dogs are very well behaved, but when it comes to going on walks, they can't help but pull to hard. I got back surgery 3 years ago, and I couldn't risk them tugging me in the slightest....and I tried everything else under the sun to make them not pull. I've tried the Halti system, but the whole time walking they would drag their heads along the ground to get them off or just stop walking alltogether. The worst part about the types that go around their heads, is that it makes them look like viscious dogs that are required to wear muzzles in public, and when you have pitbull mixes you don't want people in your neighborhood to automatically assume your dogs bite and can't be controlled. The EZ Walk Harnesses have improved the relationship between me and my dogs 100%, and now I can walk them before they eat, and I can take them everywhere with me, knowing I am able to control them no matter what. It seems a little akward at first, because the leash is attatched to the front of their chest, but after they get used to it the dogs love it, because you are able to give them guidelines and teach them what pace they need to walk at in a way that still allows them to sniff, pant and move freely. This harness is something I wish I could have had the entire time I have owned dogs, it would have taken all the stressful aspects out of dog ownership, and allowed me to appreciate my dogs and take them everywhere with me. A+++++

I purchased this for a terrified adolescent great dane. He was impossible to walk prior to the purchase of this harness. At 92 lbs, his rambunctious behavior prevented me from providing him with much needed exercise and socialization. He now walks at a neat heel without struggle. I cannot overstate the help this harness provided.

I tried the Halti Head collar first with my Akita puppy and that does work but he fussed about having it on his face. I go this to try and it is wonderful. Same results as the head collar, but he accepts it and responds to it as well. Highly recommend it.
