I purchased 2 of the 36" crates for my Border Collies back in Aug of '07. They are cable-tied to the seat brackets on the floor of my minivan. One crate has 3 broken welds and the other has 4. They will be replaced by some other brand in the near future!

This crate is just awesome, very comparable to the more expensive ones (two of which I paid $65 apiece for!) in sturdiness and construction and yet I paid less than half for the dog.com one! And my dogs love the dog.com crate pads that fit it perfectly.

I bought this as my small-medium sized dogs first crate. It lasted him for his first few years.But one day I came home to find he had broken a bar off the door and gotten his head stuck in it.A very serious situation that could have turned deadly.I hadn't even been gone for 35 minutes. I had to switch to the heavier steel version. Although this crate is great price and convenient the bendable piping is unsafe.
