I'm not sure about the sizes. What would you recommend for a 40 pound springer spaniel?
MikeL on Mar 10, 2015
Best Answer: Hi Mike, you will need to measure the area behind the front legs. Measure around the widest part of the rib cage of your dog, this will give you the girth. Below I have copied a link explaining a little better for you.

Will this clip into any seat belt buckle? I have 2 dogs and want to be sure I can use more than one.

Does this harness also control the dog's pulling when you take him for a walk?
A shopper on Nov 30, 2014
Best Answer: Yes, it could be used as a walking harness. However, if your dog is a strong puller you may be better off getting a harness designed for walking. We found that this has been ideal for our two dogs to wear when they are in the car and then when we go out for hikes we switch to their walking harness.

What size would you recommend for a 72 lb. Labrador retriever? And we have a 43 lb. Springer Spaniel that we need one for too. Can you secure both dogs in the back seat?
Scout on Aug 8, 2016
Best Answer: I put the XL harness on my 80 lb Doberman. Dobies have a deep chest. For a lab I'd probably go with the same because they generally have a broader body. It's easy to adjust the harness to make it smaller is necessary. If the dogs get along well I see no reason they can't both be in the back seat of a regular full size car, as long as they both can lie down. As for the smaller dog. I'd probably go with the large as it can always be adjusted smaller but if it's too small you're out of luck.
