While I was out camping with my Golden Ret. puppy, Kaytee, I bought one of these for her before we went there because it was supposed to be super hot and she doesnt like to swim. I was soaking it in water from a gallon jug kept in the cooler and putting it on her, and she was fine with that, it kept her nice and cool, but we ran out of water jug water and I sent my mom to buy more because it was 90 degrees. She was miserable, so I just dipped it in the icy water in the cooler itself, I put it on her and 20 minutes I checked on her and she was SHIVERING! in 90 degree heat! This product rocks!

when my dogs gets hot i put the bandana on them and they get cool right after i put them on so you should get one.
