My veterinarian has one of these- My cat used to be so stressed at the vet- going anywhere actually- and would just cower. With one of these in the room, she was purring and rubbing against everything, acting like she was at home. Maybe, for those who gave it bad reviews, they used it in too big of room, so you don't see the effects

I have five kitties and two dogs and began using the Feliway diffuser when my very fluffy medium-hair calico's belly became devoid of fur about 8 months ago. For some reason, she became quite stressed and began licking her abdomen, stripping it of fur and even causing some self-mutilation, leaving sores and abrasions. About a month after plugging in the diffuser, I noticed the sores were almost healed and the fur was beginning to grow back on her belly! Now, after several months of continuous use, there are no more sores on her belly and it's all covered with soft, fluffy fur once again! I couldn't be happier! It even seems to have an effect on all the other kitties, even though none of them have stress issues. They all are friendly, loving and very affectionate. I'm soo very glad I tried this product.

We currently have three cats, ages 18 months, two years and about 14 years. We started trying Feliway about two years ago with our recent very elderly cat at age 20 years. She had always been friendly, cuddly and playful, until slowing down around age 19. She became sick from one of the kittens, then slowed way down, ate less, and simply slept a lot. We introduced Feliway plug ins and her weight loss slowed or stopped, she began playing again, and went back to cuddling with her clan of cats, and not just coming to humans for love. She lived to be 21 and was much happier for the Feliway.
Our 14 year old neutered male now has been anxious and pulling out his fur all around the base of his tail and a quarter of the way up his back. He had it pulled out to the skin and some scratches from the dryness. While we also put him on some anti-anxiety meds with our vet, we brought back our Feliway diffuser that helped so much with the ancient kitty last year. Two months of pills probably helped the anxiety though he hates taking them, but discontinuing the pills and continuing to use the Feliway has made a huge difference. His fur is growing back greyer than before, but fabulous, he plays with balls again, and he cuddle his younger housemates again as often as they like. He seems much more content.
