Our GSD's Love them and we've got quite a few. if you get the correct size for the dog they won't be able to destroy them. We use the xlarge and xxlarge for our GSD's All Kongs are 6 months old or older and still going strong. The dogs Love them!

My dog loves it, and the price is good, but we've only had it an hour and it's already cracked. I was expecting a tougher toy, so I'm disappointed. I would recommend it for people who have dogs that are not heavy chewers but my boxer/pit mix tore it apart.

My APBT has gone through about a chew toy a week, but we got her the Kong when we initially got her 2 months ago and it is still doing its job! She is still in love with it, it hasn't lost its shape, and no pieces are missing from it!
I've gotten rid of so many toys, but this has stood the test of Halie! I think it's shape and material have enough give that she can chew it, but not so much where she can tear it apart. My dog is excellent at locating the weak point in a toy and dismantling it. Highly recommended!!!!!!

I got this for my gsd, hoping he could do something other than sleep (whenever we need to be away for a few hours). My sisters and I started to stuff every single one of his favorite treats into it. And we watchd him for a few minutes, and within that short time, my gsd took every one of his treats out USING HIS PAW. I was so disappointed how he didn't even try to bite at it. My sisters then tried peanut butter and other creamy treat at the advice of a few trainers. And oh boy...as a lover of only meat treats, my gsd just left the kong and find it better to sleep. This kong seems to be a waste of money for us. I would not recommend it.

My English Mastiff LOVES her Kong, she started with a puppy version, and XL and finally grew into an XXL version. Needless to say she is 21 months and I have not had to toss one yet. I put treats in it before I leave for work and really, all she wants is to get the treats out which is not hard when the hole is as big as it is and her treats are small. Her jaws are powerful but she takes the brunt of chewing needs out on her nylabones! I don't think she wants to destroy the "treat machine".

I bought this one, the blue one and the black one. Can't find the blue or black one but this one my lab has kept track of. She loves it. I put long thin pepporoni sticks in the lil hole and put two dog biscuits in the big hole and she is entertained for a long time. She has had this since we got her Feb 09 as a 4 mo. old pup and she is now 1.5 yrs old and it still entertains her. Best spent $$ on her. Now I need to buy another as this one is finally wearing out. Bet she doesn't like the new one as well, but she will!!!

I have a 5 year old black lab, I got him this toy for his first Christmas. He still has it, still chews on it daily. He eats EVERY stinking toy I ever buy him within a few days (usually minutes). Ropes, "indestructable rings", balls, everything. The Kong is his favorite and mine too since it is the one still standing. It has a little wear on the end where he gnaws on it for hours at a time, but other than that it's still in pretty good shape.

my 9 mo old chihuahua isn't very impressed with the kong toy, if it wasn't for the kong stuffing i put inside of it, then he wouldn't even look at it. He doesn't chew it any at all, just licks at the peanut butter flavoring inside for a minute and moves on. His adult teeth are coming in right now and he chews on everything. He loves rubber squeak toys so i thought he would this to. Nope, I think it depends on the dog though, so many people rave at this toy, that is why i tried it. your dog may love it though.

My two labs can not keep a toy without tearing it to shreads. They have had their Kongs for a year. I am replacing them with new ones because they are just starting to show some wear. Although they don't really chew on them, they love to get them with frozen peanut butter and it takes them 10-15 minutes to finish it!

Our Britney Spaniel/Beagle mix Allison adores her Kong. I have never put snacks in it, but she carries it around and chews it constantly. It is the only thing she did'nt destroy in less than a day. I think the main point about a Kong is getting the right size. We use the largest one, and because she cant wedge it too far back in her mouth she cannot break it. The smaller sizes were tough but she broke them down eventually. She has had her current XL one for 8mo. now. I highly recommend this product to dogs who love to chew!!

We have a 7 month old lab and she got her first chew kong, the round blue one and then I got her this one. She can chew through the steel cage but she cannot and hasn't chewed these. WE put her treats in them and she goes immediatly to her kennel. She looks forward to being kenneled with the Kong. Good Job and Made in the USA

My two Chessies love thir Kong toys, they destroy all toys except these. My 90 lb male has the ball and loves it. They both chew and chew on thier Kongs, we love to fill them with layers of peanut butter, yogurt, fruits, veggies, and treats then freeze them for hours of licking and chewing. They also clean great in the dish washer.

At 6 months old, our Scottie destroyed her first Kong within a day. Since then she's destroyed many more Kongs, including the extreme Kongs. Would like to see a more durable Kong for the strong chewers.

I have a black lab mix named Bella, she is a little picky when it comes to toys. But I have to say this is one of her favorite toys. When I through it,she just goes wack-o when it bounces off the wall!
I brought it to the dog park yesterday and my friends dog's Nemo and Shiloh wanted to join in on the fun and play with the kong too! It was the hit of the park!

My boys( Boston Terrier& Pit bull mix) are in love with this toy, Small size only. I have small, mid, large kong for them but they only play with small one. I guess it just fit right to their mouth. I keep two or three on hand just incase one goes bad, I wish kong-co. makes small black kong for chewer like my boys. price for kong here at Japan is about double, so I think price is great!!

A decent, durable toy, but not one of my dogs favorites. My two goldens played with these for a short period of time and then decided that other toys were more fun and interesting. Also, the largest size is quite heavy and it was hard for them to carry around, even though it was recommended for them based on their size.

We're using Kong for feeding our puppy - this way hes busy retrieving food instead of being bored. We try to vary the contents, sometimes just kibble, another time kibble layered with wet food, then kibble and peanut butter, etc. When were leaving, we give him a couple of frozen ones, so he is busy when home alone. Our puppy loves them!

I have a new puppy and he loves this toy. He is a big dog allready and we have to find toys he cant tear up. When we know we have to go somewhere and have to leave him alone we fill it up with peanut butter and freeze it the night before. It keeps him occupied while we are gone & he doesnt get into any trouble.

It took a little while for my collie mix to catch on to the wonders of the Kong, but now hes in love with it. I stuff it with anything- his dinner, peanut butter, treats, rawhide strips, the Kong filling in a can, squeeze cheese... and he goes wild for it. If you stick it in the freezer when it has gooey stuff in it and let it freeze solid, it will hold their attention even longer. Every morning beforeI I leave I show him the Kong and he happily gets in his crate and barely even looks at me as I walk out the door.

My puppy used to go through every toy I bought her the hour I gave it to her. Ive had the kong tuffy for almost a year now and its been doing great until recently. Ive found that it wears down very rappedly after a certain point and my sweet girl almost has the top knob ripped off. Granted shes half pit bull and I will probably opt for the black one next time, but just a warning to other owners.

We have five kongs for each or our three dogs. We stuff them with kibble and wet food or yogurt and stick them in the freezer. They get one every weekday and it keeps them entertained while they are crated. It is much easier to suff the kongs for the entire week during the weekends, instead of having to restuff everynight. I recommend getting as many kongs as you can!

The Kong is the only toy that all three of my dogs LOVE, and we have a varied mix a boxer, a pit, and a boston terrier. They hoard them, play keep away from each other, chew on them, and my boxer and pit love to play fetch with them because they bounce so erratically, its a lot of fun!! Plus, my dogs even the little one chew ALL day long, and some of my kongs espeially the black ones have lasted for several years! Thats pretty amazing for a rubber toy thats being chewed on by three dogs all the time! Best toy ever, hands down!

This is next best, next to the tough chewer kong the black one our miniature schnauzer tears through more things than our friends 2 boxers put together and he managed to chew the red kong in half as well...the black kongs that are meant to be for powerful chewers which apparently he his, is still in one piece, but these red ones are still pretty good...I recommend the black ones though if you have a really strong chewer.

I bought a Kong after hearing nothing but good things. I was hesitant since theyre rather big and heavy I worried if my dog threw it, something would break! I have a Great DaneLab puppy about a year old who is a big power chewer! He can destroy just about anything within a half hour. I filled the Kong an XX Large with peanut butter and beggin strips - it used to take him hours to get it out it was a very good distraction tool!. Now it takes him about a half hour tops, but for that half hour, he is the happiest puppy on earth! The holes at the top and bottom are a bit chewed, but other than that the Kong has stayed in wonderful shape. I recommend this as long as treats are given with it and supervision is given at least for the first times used!

I thought it was over priced I paid a lot at the local pet shop but bought Kong because all books I read praised it as if it was must have for puppy. My Whippet puppy loves chewing rawhide, bones, squeaky toys but never interested in Kong. He would come to Kong only when I put peanuts butter in it and as soon as finish licking he would leave it. I would rate Kong 1 star for the price I paid $9! but for the price at the DOG.COM., I give it 2 stars.

I have had three dogs now that will not chew the Kong. I have heard nothing but praises about Kong so each time I get a new dog, I get a new Kong. This time I even bought the peanut butter Kong filler. My German Shepherd puppy licks the peanut butter when he can reach it and then goes and plays with a rope. The other two dogs that I have/had showed no interest in Kong at all! Unless I have chosen three defective dogs, Kong is all hype.

I put my pups dry food in his kong. He gets his entertainment this way. He rolls the kong to get the food out or chews on it. I either just put his regular dry food in and lay it on it's side or cross 2 pieces of dehydrated chicken at the top and push it down so he has to work at it. He loves the dehydrated chicken in the tubs (the long strips - my cats love them too..have to pull off small pieces for them or they'll choke though). My pup doesn't seem to want to eat his regular food any more when it's just sitting in his bowl.
I bought the medium size for my puppy. The puppy kong really isn't necessary even though I did buy both. They are the EXACT same size (the puppy kong and the regular kong original). I have a cavalier spaniel and it's the perfect size.

I bought this for my dog as a puppy. It works great! I stuff it with dog biscuits and peanut butter. She loves it!! She can't wait to start eating what I have put inside. I always give it to her when I put her inside her kennel. She is easy to put in and it keeps her busy for a while. I highly reccomend this for all dogs. It is also great to play fetch with, especially since it bounces too.
