My boy is a chewer/destructor, but (with supervised play) he loves this toy. We are on number two, because he can still crack the plastic. If your dog doesn't play with it or goes for the wrong end work with them to teach them how to use it. I use a small bites dog food in it most of the time and occasionally a larger sized food for extra challenge. My dog would rather just crush the back to get to the food, but after showing him how to use it, it keeps him busy as he tugs and turns it over to get to the food. Great toy.

I bought this for my Siberian Husky when she was a puppy. It took her almost 2 yrs to figure it out, but now she just steps on the tug and picks it up by the bottom to get the treats to come out. It probably doesn't take more than 15 Min. to empty it, but it keeps her out of trouble while she eats her food.
Love It.

My dogs were just starting to enjoy their new toy when the lid cracked all the way around. I contacted Premier and they said that there had been some issues with the lid. They're sending me a new lid, hopefully this lid is more sturdy, otherwise I'm sure they'll send me another when they've fixed the problem. Premier has always stood behind their products, thank you!

My dogs were given the tug-a-jugs only once in awhile. The threading at the base of the jug cracked on two out of three. They were then unusable. I contacted the manufacturer, but they did not respond. So a lot of money spent on defective merchandise, manufacturer didn't respond, left with unusable toys...guess they will go in the garbage. Will not buy Busy Buddy toys again.

Rated 2 out of 5 by judy they changed the rope!
My dogs LOVE this toy so much that I bought them a new one (they finally chewed the rubber ball off the end of the rubber rope in the jar). The problem is they replaced the thick rubber rope with an actual piece of rope-it lasted about an hour! Now the treats can't fall out!!! I need one with the rubber rope! Sincerely, sad pups in Pennsylvania.

My German Shepherd Puppy chews up lots of things, but she has only managed to untie the rope lead on this one. After 6 months it still works and she gets great pleasure from slinging the thing around the room. Watch out for your knees, it packs a whollop! She rarely gets her small treats to come out because of the rope, but tries anyway. I am ordering her and her friend a new one for Christmas!

My 9 month old puppy is full of energy all the time. She absolutely loves this toy. It is amazing to watch her as she turns it upside down, and then pulls on the rope to release a treat. I wish I could find more toys like this!

Rated 4 out of 5 by KC Chick Good concept, rubber ring needs to be as indestruc
The concept of this toy is great, and the fact that my dog is a very powerful chewer isn't really the fault of the manufacturer. Even though he ripped the rope to shreds with in an hour of play, and in under a day had the rubber ring chewed down to nothing, but he still is entertained by the toy and engaged by the task of getting the treats out. Other reviews said that when the rope is ruined, you can put a tennis ball or golf ball in with the treats/kibble to keep the flow slow, but I don't know what to do about the spiked rubber ring, which is now mostly gone. I wish the rubber collar were made of the black kong material, as that's the only material that has thus far been truly indestructible for my dog. This is more comparable to the material of the red kongs, which my dog can reduce to bits in a few hours. I do prefer the design of this toy to Kongs, However, because my dog can very quickly remove treats from Kongs.
