I am a professional Labrador breeder, and I thought I should post this email I received from one of my previous buyers. I've never given my dogs this treat before, and after receiving this, I never will."CalebJust thought I would tell you I lost my chocolate yesterday morning about 4am. He had been chewing on a cow hoof and swallowed some sharp pieces and he died from the internal injuries. He meant the world to me. Kimber the yellow I got from you doesn't know what to do with herself. Its very sad. She had never been a day without him.

I have gotten my two dogs stuffed chew hooves in the past from other places. They have all been what I thought to be regular sized hooves, about 3 inches long and 1 inch tall. These babies are HUGE comparatively - 4 inches long and at least 2 inches tall and absolutely packed with filling. My 2 year-old lab/coonhound mix and 8 month old lab puppy LOVED these, kept them busy for a couple hours which is a lifetime for those two aggressive chewers. Even after the filling was gone - they kept on chewing, and carried the hooves around with them everywhere. I highly recommend these - just beware because they do stink when wet - but it's SO worth it for the pleasure it gives them! : )

I own a pet sitting service, and this was a favorite with my x-lg breed dogs all the way down to my miniature breeds (to my amazement). I have tried almost all of the varieties that are on the market with my dogs over the past few years. The only complaint, from the owners not the dogs, was the stinky smell. However, it hasn't seemed to keep the owners from letting them enjoy the hooves. They just specify the enjoyment area. At first, I thought it was just the stuffing that the dogs were "nuts" about, but the dogs always seem to know where they have last left their treat for further enjoyment later. It's also a good price for as long as they last. Sincerely, Carol Posthumus

This is a wonderful treat for a pack of huskies where no toy lasts longer than 3 minutes. My dogs enjoy chewing the hoof as much as the stuffing inside. There is only one problem - the smell. They smell quite unpleasantly. But the smell doesn't saty long once the hoof is removed from the scene. So if you can get over the smell - it's a great present for your strong chewer.
