Advantage

I have found that Advantage is by far the best and most effective way to treat fleas. It does get rid of fleas. It is not designed to work on ticks. So if you are not seeing any tick coverage and you have an area with ticks then use a product designed for ticks.

We have been using Advantage on our Jack Russell Terrier for awhile. However, a couple of weeks ago we noticed a bunch of fleas all over her. She is an indoor dog, so you can only imagine the frustration. We applied it to her once a monthfirst of every month. This happened on the last week of May. I dont know if it is a fluke, or if it wears off earlier than it says. Kind of weird! We have also had problems with her getting ticks and Advantage does not control ticks. We switched to Frontline and have had great success! It controls fleas, ticks, and is water proof.

Great!

Adcantage is by far the best flea preventative and killer there is. I have tried Frontline and other flea drops, but nothing compares to Advantage. No, it does not kill or repel ticks, but it is not supposed to! K9 Advantix is for ticks and fleas, and also works great. I use advantage on my cats and buy the dog kind to split between the cats, so I dont use Advantix, but the advantage works best of all the brands!

Does nothing to ticks. Both dogs have had ticks since the application, one only falling off after becoming fully engorged.
